Context:
As part of the Credit Analysts team, we are assessing the creditworthiness of GEM’s counterparts and managing the limits accordingly. The economic environment is also key and needs also to be followed.
Role:
Current portfolio management
- Analysis and follow-up of exposures in terms of counterpart risks evolution, credit lines management, and approval of Front Office’s transactions/contracts.
Portfolio counterpart Management
- Client on-boarding.
- Development of customer relationship before contract signing: analysis of Front Office’s need, study of the prospect’s profile (financials, business and regulatory environment,…).
- Proposal, negotiation of credit documents and clauses of netting contracts with prospects, in collaboration with the legal department.
- Present recommendation to Credit Risk Management and to Committees.
Project Finance (mainly PPA transactions)
- Assess project creditworthiness (for both development and production phases) and negotiating & structuring contracts for:
- long term (10y+) power offtake of PV or wind power production;
- long term offtake of Biomass plant production;
- pre-payment of upstream gas production (ie: financing of project development).
Digitalisation
- Together with Credit Reporting team and IT support work on development of existing and introduction of new IT tools facilitating credit risk management.
Contribute to the team duty tasks
- Daily report production and answer to urgent business interests (check impact of deal interest on current exposure, and give authorization or not to trade).

Education and professional background:
- Education level: Master degree
- Relevant experience in a credit risk position, or relevant finance or accounting activity (ideally in a trading or banking environment)

- Fluent in English: written & oral
- French: oral is a plus
Travels:
- Working place : Paris or Brussels
- Travel: seldom
