The Role
Our Origination team are responsible for securing high value structured power, renewable, carbon and environmental transactions; promoting risk management solutions and market access services to wholesale clients and counterparts. Our team work in close collaboration with the Trading and Supply teams.
You’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, structuring, negotiating and executing complex transactions, and managing client relationships within the Australian electricity market (from Contacts to Contracts). You’ll play a crucial role in building the GEMS commercial franchise, marketing Engie renewable developments and supporting our customers on their decarbonisation journey.
About you
- Tertiary Qualification in Commerce, Economics, Legal, Finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience as a Trader, Originator, Structurer, or in energy procurement within the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM).
- Prior experience or exposure to complex negotiations and the end-to-end process to execution;
- Articulate, with high commercial awareness and exceptional consultative skills.
- Ability to work cross-functional in a complex matrix organisation, developing strong internal networks to deliver strategic results.
