What You Can Expect
As a Senior Operational Buyer, you play a crucial role in supporting the Procurement activities for the Operations & Maintenance of Renewables, Flexible Generation, and Energy Solutions Global Business Units in ENGIE North America. You will be proactively managing supply chain risks, delivering performance through cost optimization, and reinforcing procurement governance and policies.
Develop, manage, and document Request for Proposals (RFPs) and recommendations for awarding suppliers
Develop and negotiate procurement agreements in collaboration with legal and business teams
Ensure compliance with contracts, mitigate risks, and manage changes
Manage open Purchase Orders and associated deliveries with suppliers
Implement procurement project management plans and strategies
Identify requirements in collaboration with Business Lines and Category Leaders
Define negotiating tactics and work with Operational Teams, Business Stakeholders, and Category Leaders
Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective action plans when necessary
Coordinate procurement and sourcing for materials and equipment required for operations and maintenance
Execute and lead requests for quotes, generate recommendations for awards, and provide bid deviation justifications
Manage relationships with critical suppliers and handle major escalations
Ensure supplier fulfillment of contractual obligations, monitor disputes, and measure supplier performance
Manage supplier invoicing and payment issues as they arise
Provide reliable and comprehensive reporting and feedback
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or other related disciplines
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Procurement
Strong knowledge of sourcing through category management, procurement processes, and tools
Strong relationship management skills and ability to communicate effectively and collaborate, team player
Experience with procurement tools such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa
Experience working in multi-regions of North America, particularly in building, installing and maintaining renewable assets (solar, wind, battery storage)
Advanced skills in Excel, Access, Power Pivots, and Microsoft Project
Ability to travel as needed
Strong relationship management skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior management

Compensation
Salary Range: $74,500 – $114,195 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
