Your mission
As an Electrical Designer specializing in High Voltage (HV) substations at TRACTEBEL, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing electrical substations in line with European grid operators' standards and safety regulations. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality, reliable infrastructure for power transmission systems.
Your key responsibilities
- You will design and produce 2D and 3D technical drawings of electrical substations, ensuring the correct representation of electromechanical equipment (e.g., circuit breakers, transformers, CT, VT, etc.).
- You plan cable routing, equipment arrangement, and the layout of gantries, pylons, and associated foundations in compliance with project specifications
- You ensure the design of grounding networks and substation control buildings aligns with technical requirements.
- You apply and adhere to electrical and mechanical standards, ensuring conformity with minimum safety distances, protection zones, and fire safety regulations.
- You develop material lists and ensure they match finalized designs and technical documentation
We would love to hear from people with
- A Bachelor’s degree (Bac+2 to Bac+3) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in HV substation design, including knowledge of layout concepts and substation equipment.
- Proficiency in using design software such as Microstation, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of standards governing HV substations, such as safety protocols, minimum distances, and equipment placement guidelines.
- Fluency in French, Dutch, or English.
