What You Can Expect

As our Tax Manager, you will oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance, tax forecasting, and financial reporting for ENGIE’s US consolidated group. Your scope will include complex corporate, federal, and state income and franchise tax returns, sales and use tax returns, transfer pricing, US withholding, and managing federal and state audits. Additionally, you will direct and develop a team of thirteen (13) tax professionals. This position sits in Houston, TX, and reports to the Tax Director

 

 

  • Tax Compliance and Reporting: Manage federal and state income tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filings and payments for the EHI consolidated group. Oversee tax account reconciliations and assess deferred tax assets for valuation allowances.
  • Audit Management: Set standards for documentation clarity for tax audits. Manage federal tax audits, support and oversee state income tax audits, property taxes, and property tax disputes.
  • Financial Reporting: Handle income tax financial reporting for GROUP and local IFRS audits, including preparation of support for statutory audits. Manage federal and state income tax provision forecasts for budget and medium-term plans
  • Transfer Pricing and Compliance: Oversee transfer pricing, FDAP reporting on Form 1042, and ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations. Implement and manage the Corporate Alternative Minimum Tax (CAMT) process
  • Process Improvement: Lead the Indirect Tax Director in improving process efficiency. Implement automation initiatives and process improvements, maintaining the integrity of documented operating procedures
  • Leadership and Coordination: Develop and manage a team of thirteen tax professionals. Maintain connectivity between Tax GBS and Tax HUB departments, leveraging GBS resources and liaising with ENGIE Group Tax and Consolidation Group

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • A minimum of ten (10)+ years' relevant experience in public accounting or industry tax
  • You are CPA certified or currently in progress towards certification
  • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You have knowledge of tax depreciation methods, amortization, and dispositions
  • You are experienced in partnership and corporate federal income tax compliance
  • You are proficient in Excel, Word, SAP, Fixed asset tax software, Tax research software and  Corporate federal income tax compliance

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $157,500 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
