Job Purpose/Mission
The Product Performance Team is responsible for facilitating requirement definition, ensuring that requirements are validated and tracked during development/NPI and lastly managing post launch product performance. This will be achieved by working with the leaders of Product Management and R&D, to define and manage the development processes, drive the test and validation activities, and to implement performance monitoring metrics (and corrective actions) for the product after launch.
Consequently, this role will be focused on ensuring that a system engineering framework and process is followed during the development and maintenance of new products. You will be a key stakeholder in a cross functional product development team, facilitating system decisions and tracking requirements to ensure all customer requirements are met.
Responsibilities
• Requirement definitions and management (customer requirements to technical requirements)
• Lead technical trade off decision facilitation as part of cross functional team
• Stakeholder communication and management: Hardware and Firmware Engineering, Project management and Supply Chain
• Overview of system architecture developed and maintained
• Ensuring adequate test coverage to ensure requirements are fulfilled
• Support in defining production test requirements and in field maintenance infrastructure
• Co-ordinating engineering change requests during mass production stage
• Product lifecycle management from concept to end of life (EOL)
• Contribute to and support product roadmap decisions and innovation strategy
• Co-ordinate with digital stakeholders to define and implement broader digital architecture (backend, digital tools and data acquisition)
Knowledge and skills
Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in hardware product development
• System engineering development framework and principles
• Requirements and risk management tools
• Facilitation of technical discussions and meetings
• Meticulous technical documentation skills
• Hands on experience with electronic product development, prototyping, validation (manual and/or automated)
• Experience with development of solar systems
• Basic IOT system understanding
• Basic project management skills
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering
Language(s):
• Fluent in English
