“WATER” is one of the product lines of Tractebel, specialised in port engineering and waterway infrastructure, with projects all over the world. Mission

• You will be a player throughout the execution of our marine and civil infrastructure projects

• You will take the lead in the design and calculation of steel structures from concept study to execution

• You dimension steel structures following current Belgian and European standards, legislation, codes of practice and internal guidelines

• You are creative in looking for structural solutions to specific problems, taking into account design and budget

• You will be part of a multidisciplinary project team of engineers and draftsmen for projects with a strong focus on projects in marine and civil infrastructure

• Prepare designs (preliminary, basis, tender, detailed) for marine and infrastructure projects such as:  lock doors, jetties, gate valves, barrages, flood protection structures, bridges, etc. 

• You take a role as design engineer of the project and coordinate with and coach our junior engineers and CAD designers.

• You follow up and verify the drafting work with the CAD designers

• You develop your technical skills (SCIA Engineer, Ansys, …) 

• You keep up with standards, new techniques and developments in your discipline

• Ensure knowledge development and sharing related to your expertise and coach junior engineers

• You are reporting to the project leader and your team manager

Profile

• You are a qualified Master of Science in Structural Engineering with a Major in ‘Construction Design’ or ‘Dredging and Off-Shore Engineering’ or ‘Marine Engineering’

• You have at least 5 years of relevant technical experience in the design and engineering of steel structures and infrastructure projects such as bridges, port infrastructure, lock doors, barrages, sheet piles, anchors, jetties, or large civil infrastructure works, including calculation on structures;

• You have experience in designing steel elements in complex 3D structures

• You have an understanding of the applicable construction techniques and are eager to keep your knowledge in line with current methods.

• You are quality-driven and operate in a customer-focused way

• You are a team player

• You have extensive knowledge of current Belgian and European Design Standards, legislation, codes of practice (ISO, EC, NEN, EAU, SB250, SB260,...)

• You are mobile and open to occasional missions abroad (short or medium-term).

• You have an international driving license / driving license “B.

Software Knowledge

• Expertise in modelling with SCIA Engineer or equivalent software.

• You have proficient knowledge of standard computer programs including spreadsheets and word processing.

Languages

A thorough knowledge of Dutch is essential and good knowledge of English or French is considered an important asset.

THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The Mechanical Equipment Department is in charge of the following tasks:

• Expertise in mechanical components and related Codes & Standards
• Procurement and qualification of mechanical Equipment and Nuclear Fuel
• Quality Surveillance and manufacturing follow-up
• Management of repair and replacement activities
• In service Inspection and Ageing Management
• Fuel Quality Control and Handling

YOUR JOB

As a member of the “QA/QC” section you will ensure that Vendors of Tractebel and/or its Clients deliver and install their products with the highest level of quality to ensure nuclear safety at all times. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the full supply chain in a practical and industrial environment and this in an international setting. You will work in close collaboration with your colleagues within the mechanical expertise domain (contract owners) and project managers.

You will be mainly in charge of the following activities:

• Examination and approval of the Contractor technical manufacturing and installation files of various mechanical equipment (steel forgings, steel structures, rotating equipment such as valves and pumps, heat exchangers, piping, …).  You will verify from a quality control point of view the conformity of the fabrication documents to be in line with technical specifications and the governing construction codes and standards. You will typically intervene during review and approval of material purchase specifications, non-destructive examination procedures, welding procedures, heat treatment procedures, special manufacturing procedures. Knowledge of one of the following codes & standards is an asset : ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (section II, section III (nuclear related), section V, section VIII , section IX, ASME B31.1, ASME B16.34, …), PED, RCCM, ESPN, ....
• Conducting quality control missions during manufacturing and installation of mechanical equipment. You will assess the conformity of the fabrication and progress during inspection missions at manufacturer's premises, site installation activities (Energy production facility sites such as but not limited to Nuclear Power Plants). You will verify that the goods are meeting the requirements set forth in the technical and upfront approved technical and quality assurance documentation.
• Examination and approval of fabrication quality plans (PQP, ITP, …) in consolidation with the contract owner. You will be able to use your knowledge of industrial manufacturing process to define the quality surveillance strategy. Provide technical feedback in terms of the acceptance of non-conformities encountered during manufacturing without comprising the final quality of the product.
• Issue inspection reports following the templates of Tractebel or its Client. You will inform the contract owner or report directly to the project manager of the outcome of your missions.
• Support the organization with quality control expertise and become quality control lead in support of the contract owner on one or multiple projects. Within this role you will be in charge for overlooking Tractebel’s project quality organisation, developing specific methodologies and tools for the quality experts involved in the project (specific reporting, checklists, …), ensuring lessons learned are captured and implemented, verifying the content of inspection reports as to follow-up on related actions with the contract owner, assisting the QA/QC team group manager with staffing requests and organization (depending on the project scale).

YOUR PROFILE

• Mechanical / Electromechanical engineer with min. 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes of mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves, pumps, …)
• Experience in a product quality control environment with knowledge of destructive and non-destructive examination techniques (base materials and welds) is considered an advantage;
• Good organizational and coordination skills;
• Able to work with limited supervision;
• Eager to work in an international context for short and long missions;
• Eager to participate in the expansion of activities of the nuclear market;
• Ability to draft concise reports containing factual conclusions;
• Reliable and motivated to meet deadlines;
• Knowledge of the nuclear industry is a plus;

Werkomgeving

Je werkt als BIM-Project Manager en je bent verantwoordelijk voor het implementeren en coördineren van BIM-processen binnen infrastructuur projecten, vanuit ons kantoor in Hasselt  (of Gent/ Brussel), binnen onze afdeling Transport Infrastructuur, de afdeling binnen Tractebel die voornamelijk projecten ontwerpt/studeert met betrekking tot wegen, tramverbindingen, luchthavens, tunnels en bruggen.

Naast het ontwerpen van wegen is het ontwerpen van rioleringssystemen een tweede belangrijk onderdeel, rekening houdend met de klimaatsverandering en een duurzaam gebruik van het (regen)water.

Taken

• Toezicht houden op de kwaliteit en efficiëntie van het BIM-proces; toezicht op de productie, coördinatie en kwaliteitscontroles en je rapporteert hierover
• Opstellen van BIM-werkprocedures;  je leidt het proces van het opstellen en organiseren van BIM-werkprocedures, inclusief het bijwerken en actualiseren van BIM-uitvoeringsplan.
• Leiderschap in BIM-informatieprocedures; je bent verantwoordelijk voor het opbouwen en uitwisselen van BIM-informatieprocedures volgens de geldende standaarden.
• Opstellen van BIM-planning; je schat het BIM-budget in en bereidt de BIM-planning voor in overeenstemming met de algemene projectplanning

Les compétences techniques de notre équipe couvrent la gamme complète des infrastructures maritimes et des ouvrages hydrauliques : murs de quai, écluses, jetées, digues, barrages, fondations éoliennes offshore, ponts, tunnels, protections contre les inondations, plan directeur, expansion portuaire, etc. Notre équipe conçoit des projets depuis la phase d’étude de faisabilité jusqu’aux études d’exécution, en passant par les études d’avant-projet et de projet, en étroite collaboration avec nos clients nationaux et internationaux.

Tractebel a une longue expérience en matière de conception et de construction de ports, de barrages et de voies navigables, comme par exemple la conception et l'assistance technique du troisième jeu d'écluses du canal de Panama, la conception détaillée du mur de caisson du terminal à conteneurs du Pirée en Grèce, la conception de la jetée du 2nd terminal GNL Fluxys dans le port de Zeebrugge en Belgique, le plan directeur pour améliorer l'accès maritime au port de Zeebrugge, conception et assistance pendant la construction de la stabilisation du mur de quai existant de l'Escaut dans la ville d'Anvers, conception détaillée d'un pont basculant roulant dans le port d'Anvers, conception des fondations de nombreux parcs éoliens offshore en Belgique et à l'étranger, etc.

La mission

• Vous serez un acteur tout au long de l'exécution de nos projets relatifs aux infrastructures portuaires aux ouvrages hydrauliques et aux voies navigables.
• Vous prendrez la direction de la conception des ouvrages dans le cadre d'un grand projet d'infrastructure portuaire, de barrage ou de voie navigable.
• Vous êtes orienté vers le client et communiquez de manière constructive avec lui ainsi qu’avec les partenaires externes au sujet de la conception technique.
• Vous concevez les ouvrages hydrauliques et portuaires en respectant les normes, la législation et les règles de bonne pratique en vigueur en Belgique et en Europe.
• Vous préparez des études (préliminaires, d’avant-projet, de projet, d’exécution) ainsi que les dossiers d'appel d'offres pour les projets d’infrastructures portuaires, d’ouvrages hydrauliques et de voies navigables : écluses, murs de quai, jetées, fondations de pont, barrages, digues, brise-lames, plan directeur portuaire.
• Vous analysez la méthode d'installation optimale des différentes structures que vous avez conçues, toujours avec un esprit ouvert pour des solutions innovantes et alternatives.
• Vous assurerez la liaison entre les différents centres de compétences de Tractebel et notre partenaire dans l'entreprise commune pour les études hydrauliques, les infrastructures routières, l'aménagement du territoire, la mobilité et les équipements électromécaniques, etc.
• Vous favorisez un processus de conception intégré en examinant de manière transversale les différentes disciplines concernées et vous menez le projet de la conception à l'achèvement.
• Vous êtes responsable du suivi de l'avancement, de la qualité et de la performance financière du projet. Vous assurez un suivi systématique du projet, en veillant à la satisfaction du client et en prévoyant les détériorations de la performance financière.
• Vous jouez le rôle d'ingénieur concepteur du projet et vous coordonnez et encadrez nos ingénieurs juniors et nos concepteurs CAO.
• Vous suivez et vérifiez le travail de dessin avec les concepteurs CAO.
• Vous développez vos compétences techniques (SCIA Engineer, DSheet Piling, Ansys, Plaxis, ...).
• Vous assurez le développement et le partage des connaissances dans votre domaine d'expertise et encadrez les ingénieurs débutants.
• Vous vous tenez au courant des normes, des nouvelles techniques et des développements dans votre discipline.
• Vous aidez le responsable de l'appel d'offres à établir des offres attrayantes et innovantes.
• Vous rendez compte au chef de projet et à votre chef d'équipe.

Profil

• Vous êtes titulaire d'un Master « Ingénieur civil des constructions » ou équivalent. Une spécialisation en "Dragage et ingénierie offshore" ou "Conception de construction" ou "Ingénierie maritime" est u atout.
• Vous avez au moins 5 ans d'expérience dans le domaine de la conception technique d’ouvrages d’art, si possible dans le domaine des ouvrages hydrauliques, des infrastructures portuaires et/ou des voies navigables.
• Vous avez de l'expérience dans l'application des normes, règles de bonne pratique et recommandations pertinentes pour la conception des structures en béton armé et l'interaction sol-structure  aux infrastructures portuaires aux ouvrages hydrauliques et aux voies navigables tels que les murs de quai, les palplanches, les ancrages, les murs mixtes ou les grands travaux d'infrastructure civile.
• Vous avez de l'expérience dans la conception d'armatures en béton dans des structures complexes en 3D.
• Vous avez une connaissance approfondie des normes belges et européennes actuelles, de la législation et des codes de pratique (ISO, CE, NEN, EAU, SB250, SB260, Qualiroute...).

Connaissance des logiciels

• Une expertise en modélisation avec SCIA Engineer, Plaxis et/ou GeoStudio ou Dsheet est un atout important.
• Vous avez une connaissance approfondie de la suite MS Office.

Langues

• Une bonne connaissance du français et de l’anglais est essentielle. Une Connaissance du néerlandais est un plus.

Werkomgeving

Je werkt als Transport engineer, met een focus op spoorweginfrastructuur (“Light Rail” dwz tram_en metroverbindingen) , vanuit ons kantoor in Gent of Brussel, binnen onze afdeling Transport Infrastructuur, de afdeling binnen Tractebel die voornamelijk projecten ontwerpt/studeert met betrekking tot wegen, tramverbindingen, luchthavens, tunnels en bruggen.

Naast het ontwerpen van wegen is het ontwerpen van rioleringssystemen een tweede belangrijk onderdeel, rekening houdend met de klimaatsverandering en een duurzaam gebruik van het (regen)water.

Functie

• Je werkt mee aan spoorweginfrastructuurprojecten betreffende het geometrisch spoorontwerp van tram_, metrolijnen (light rail)
• Je werkt mee aan het voor_en ontwerp en de berekening van de elektrische installaties van de tractiestations, de bovenleidingen en aan het ontwerp van de signalisatie,....
• Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het opstellen van aanbestedingsdocumenten
• Je verleent technische ondersteuning aan de Project Managers
• Je zoekt autonoom naar technische oplossingen
• Je volgt de nieuwe evoluties op het terrein op

Profiel

• Je hebt een diploma van master in de elektromechanica, industriële wetenschappen of ingenieurswetenschappen (industrieel of burgerlijk ingenieur) met een sterke interesse voor elektriciteit / elektrotechniek / elektronica
• Je bent gepassioneerd door elektriciteit en volgt de ontwikkelingen voor de spoorwegen op de voet
• Je beschikt over een eerste werkervaring (3 à 5 jaar)
• Werken in teamverband is voor jou vanzelfsprekend en motiverend
• Je bent klantgericht, flexibel en communicatief vaardig
• Je hebt een goede praktische kennis van MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) en MS Project
• Je beheerst vlot de Nederlandse taal (verplicht). Een zeer goede kennis van het Frans en het Engels is een pluspunt
• Je bent flexibel en staat open voor (ad-hoc/ zeer korte) missies in het buitenland (Noorden van Frankrijk/ Groothertogdom Luxemburg)
• Je bent in het bezit van een rijbewijs B
