  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new land campaigns, overseeing them from start to finish
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to craft and prioritize land acquisition strategies across key markets
  • Manage and negotiate with third-party land agents, co-developers, and other early-stage project partners
  • Make go/no-go decisions based on site screenings and internal intel, and negotiate land agreements with property owners
  • Oversee budgets for greenfield activities, manage project handoffs, lead a small team, and maintain detailed records and competitive intelligence

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, project development
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience with renewable project development, ideally community / distributed-scale (1-20 MW) projects and related state programs
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with real estate agreements in the context of renewable energy project development (options, leases, purchase agreements, title curative work
  • You are conscientious, empathetic, detail-oriented, and highly organized, valuing inclusivity and diversity within a tight-knit team
  • You have the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards for quality, ethics, and accountability

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $165,000 USD annually

What You Can Expect

ENGIE Distributed Solar and Storage(DSS) is looking for a Project Manager to join our Pre-Construction team. As a Pre-Construction Project Manager, you will work closely with DSS project development, origination, business development, engineering, procurement and delivery teams to advance distributed generation (DG) and/or battery energy storage system (BESS) projects through the development cycle and prepare for handoff to the Delivery Team.

 

As the Project Manager, you at all times adhere to and promote ENGIE’s health and safety requirements and culture.  The projects will be in different regions of the contiguous United States.   

 

You will review the available information for early-stage projects / prospects and support the Development, Origination and Business Development Teams from constructability review, preliminary budget and scheduling perspectives.  You are expected to work with internal and external engineering teams and have a good grasp of technical aspects of Solar and BESS projects.  You will work with E’s procurement team to issue purchase requisitions and negotiate with contractors. 

 

  • Manage and/or collaborate on numerous DG or BESS projects simultaneously through various stages of development to notice to proceed to the Delivery group
  • Work with internal or external engineering / design team to understand and review the project design and provide inputs on constructability and potential cost savings  
  • Support proposal preparation, including due diligence site visit, project risk register, preliminary budget, scheduling, constructability review
  • Audit ENGIE employees and contractors to ensure all parties adhere to the company’s Health and Safety oriented guidelines on active sites
  • Create project schedule baselines and reports on progress to various internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate preconstruction site visit and site surveys, as required.
  • Track and analyze progress on project-level spend in relation to approved budget baselines 
  • Prepare budgets for projects at approval milestones and cite any budget-relates issues and evaluate ways to ensure budget baselines are accurate
  • Ensures contractual deadlines are met and required documentation is filed
  • Provide regular status reports to clients and other external parties as necessary, including previously-mentioned schedule and budget/cost updates
  • Ensure that all installations meet ENGIE plans and specifications, permitting and interconnection requirements, and client expectations
  • Ensure all projects adhere to requirements listed in applicable legal agreements
  • Works with engineering and development teams to obtain construction-related permits, negotiate and comply with interconnection agreements, and deliver construction and staging drawings, as require.
  • Works with internal and external Procurement resources to contract the entire Scope of the project across various suppliers (GC selection, PO issuance and follow-ups)
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Carry out other duties, as assigned

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in which you completed course in Construction Management, Civil or Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience within the renewable energy industry; specifically, solar photovoltaic arrays and/or battery energy storage systems
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Independent Power Producer (IPP) firms, DG Development, Project Management, Engineering or Construction roles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

As the Security Operations Senior Advisor, based in Houston, TX or Chicago, IL, you will be a leader within the corporate security team, tasked with implementing and directing a comprehensive enterprise security risk management program for Engie North America and its affiliates.  You will manage the security function within various Global Business portfolios and communicate with Global Business Units, which will look to you for direction and expertise. The Security Operations Senior Advisor is responsible for defining, establishing, and modernizing a robust security system to ensure the security of all corporate and operational personnel, assets, and critical systems at ENGIE. Drive continuous improvement of Engie’s security posture to ensure the security of people, assets, and critical systems, while providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in security architecture, crisis management, policies, emergency response, and procedures as they pertain to security systems across multiple platforms and technologies.

 

Reporting to the Head of Security ENGIE North America, your primary duties encompass:

  • Manage and provide oversight of our physical security operations function in the Americas region and support the wider team globally as required
  • Work closely with Engie North America’s business leads, workplace teams and external business partners to optimize the team to scale with business needs
  • Build, review, and refine policy and procedure guidance documents for security practices, user operations escalations, event management, crisis management, and incident documentation
  • Design, develop, and implement Executive protection policies, procedures, and standards
  • Partner with functional, business and vendor teams across the company to conduct risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments to identify and document Engie North America’s most impactful risks. Recommend and deploy appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Effectively manage services providers, ensuring an effective risk-based programs operating within a developed set of standard operating procedures Provide feedback through service level agreements, quarterly business reviews and agreed key performance indicators
  • Forecast budgets accurately, make improvement and cost-efficiency suggestions and manage operations to budget
  • Define and deliver reporting and KPI requirements for all security-based incidents
  • Create and administer employee education programming to increase security awareness levels throughout the various GBU portfolios as we continue to develop a culture of security that protects Engie North America and our clients, i.e., workplace violence, mass casualty events, natural disasters, etc.
  • Spearhead business continuity plans, crisis management plans and ensure emergency incident and crisis response plans are in place and assessed regularly

  • Evaluate building electrical systems and utility infrastructure to create and maintain PV system design templates, standards, and specifications
  • Develop and write standards for PV system components, performing electrical calculations, selecting equipment, and determining utility or facility interconnection
  • Prepare equipment specifications for procurement, coordinating bidding, permitting, and construction in line with ENGIE’s design standards
  • Organize and apply national and regional codes from Jurisdictions Having Authority (JHA) and utilities for compliance with electrical, building, and interconnection practices

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position, designing electrical systems and producing construction drawing sets and documentation including wire sizing, protection system coordination, grounding systems, relay schematic, settings design, and equipment specification
  • You have strong familiarity with the National Electric Code and other design codes, along with experience in electrical power systems design and implementation
  • You are proficient in design tools such as AutoCAD, protective relaying (SEL), and data acquisition programming and design
  • You are knowledgeable in specifying and sourcing electrical equipment for low (up to 600V) and medium voltage (up to 34.5kV) applications
  • You are an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) pursuing an Electrical Power Systems Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, with a flexible attitude and technical proficiency

Compensation

Salary Range: $74,500 – $109,230 USD annually

What You Can Expect

As a Photo Voltaic (PV) Designer for ENGIE North America you will be responsible for designing and finalizing design layouts for rooftop, ground mount, and carport solar PV installations, and battery storage, throughout the USA. Candidates must have strong technical and design skills along with the ability to handle a variety of tasks on multiple projects. You will assist various departments on requests to develop, design, and optimize PV projects.

 

Everyday you will need to meet deadlines while handling multiple assignments in a timely manner and high degree of accuracy. Additionally, you will support other departments with tasks throughout a project’s life cycle, such as drawings for bid, permit, construction, revisions, RFPs, and as-builts.

 

  • Create and review layouts for rooftop, ground mount, and carport projects
  • Review building conditions, check dimensions, determine feasibility of designs while working with the team to resolve design conflicts
  • Opportunity to acquire FAA drone pilot license and establish proficiency in the company drone program, for site visits and site surveys

Senior Electrical Design Engineer

What You Can Expect

As a Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for all aspects of design and grid connection of rooftop, carport and ground-mounted solar PV and energy storage installations for ENGIE Energy Solutions. Your work will serve a complete design run through our internal engineering firm, which once validated is provided to installation contractors, interconnecting utilities, permitting authorities, clients, and building owners. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Project Development and Delivery teams who will request your support to develop, design, procure for, and optimize the resulting product .

 

Every day you will evaluate existing facilities and building electrical systems including distribution equipment, premises wiring, and utility supply infrastructure to inform interconnection and PV Systems Design team.

 

  • Assembles system drawing sets in AutoCAD for purposes of bidding, permitting, and construction in accordance with Engie’s design standards and methodology
  • Prepares Bill of Materials for projects to include equipment from system design
  • Coordinates with local jurisdictions and utilities to confirm compliance with applicable codes and to secure necessary permit and interconnection approval
  • Documents completed installations for client as-built drawings for purposes of operations and maintenance
  • Regularly travel to perform site surveys domestically which will include working at heights, roof inspection, and working in proximity to AC and DC electrical components to inspect a building’s roof, structure, and electrical system
  • Remains up-to-date on new technologies and regulatory conditions including building codes, fire codes, utility requirements, vendor qualifications, industry best practices, safety standards, and relevant standards development

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience designing electrical systems
  • Strong familiarity with National Electric Code and other design codes
  • Knowledge of specifying and sourcing electrical equipment for low voltage (up to 600V) and medium voltage (up to 34.5kV) applications
