About the role:

The Project Delivery Manager (Operations) will work alongside the senior management within the operations team to oversee various construction, engineering and efficiency development projects from inception to completion.   You will ensure our biomethane projects are delivered to timescales and within approved project CAPEX budgets and to the highest level of safety.

 

This role may require occasional travel in the South West region.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Supporting the Operations Management team to ensure all construction and engineering projects are completed on our biogas plants
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects safely and within budget. Overseeing cost control and risk management responsibilities.
  • Establishing pricing and agreeing price variations throughout the projects.
  • Participate in collaborative planning with both the Development and Operations management teams and the Land and Planning Manager
  • Ascertain preliminary and detailed project design requirements and solutions – ensuring sign off is agreed by all management parties
  • Preparation of technical specifications and documentation to support each project element
  • Completion of contract documentation and managing the procurement, implementation, commissioning and handover phases of each project
  • Working with the H&S Compliance Manager and Plant Managers to manage site safety and environmental issues for each project.
  • Organise the procurement of all plant, materials and specialist subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist subcontractors, construction contractors and any other third parties
  • Coordinate and supervise sub-contractors ensuring health and safety compliance at all times
  • Monitor project progress and schedules and report regularly to the Operations Management team as to progress.
  • Proactively manage engineering risks and issues ensuring all paperwork is completed and compliant
  • Compile and collate all final contract documentation for forwarding to the Business Support Manager. This will include “as built” drawings, certificates, conformance documents and any other technical or relevant paperwork to be included into operation and maintenance manuals.

 

 Experience:

  • Experience delivering large construction projects within agreed timescales and to budget.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, with excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent IT skills. Knowledge of CAD or similar
  • Experience within biogas/biomethane would be desirable
  • Previous experience of HAZOPs/DSEAR regulations is desirable

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree (or demonstrate level of experience) in civil engineering, project management or construction
  • Proven track record in the hands on delivery of engineering and construction projects ·
  • Full UK driving licence
