Senior Electrical Field Engineer

Mission 

The Senior Electrical Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing all electrical aspects of a data center construction project. This involves supervising the electrical contractor, ensuring adherence to electrical codes and standards, safety regulations while maintaining project timelines and budget. The role requires a full-time presence on site to monitor the contractor's progress.

Responsibilities

1/ Quality Control:

• Conduct rigorous quality control inspections of electrical installations.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Identify and rectify quality issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed quality control documentation in coordination with the QCx team.

2/ Safety Oversight:

• Enforce safety regulations and procedures on the construction site.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Address safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

3/ Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with Package Lead and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
• Coordinate electrical work with other trades and subcontractors.
• Attend project meetings and provide regular updates on electrical progress.
• Identify potential issues and develop solutions.

4/ Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including inspections, test reports, and as-built drawings.
• Prepare regular progress reports and identify any deviations from the project plan.
• Provide necessary documentation for project closeout.

5/ Communication and Collaboration:

• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills with previous team leadership experience.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external design teams, including planning and managing the collaboration process.
• Liaise with design teams, project managers, and clients to ensure project goals are met.

Profile 

• Proven experience as Electrical Field Engineer on construction site (MV/LV)
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
• Strong understanding of construction project management principles.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and motivate contractors.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and documentation tools.
• Ability to prioritize workload, work to deadlines, and manage effectively under pressure.
