Within the Corporate Finance Department, we are recruiting :
A Senior Financial Advisor (M/F)

Position based in Courbevoie (92)

 

 

Job description (missions and main activities) 

 

 

1) Missions of the Department

The Corporate Finance Department, mainly based in Paris and Brussels, is part of the Corporate Finance and Investment Directorate (incl. M&A, AIFA, Corporate Finance, and Asset Management) of ENGIE, whose activities are globalized at Group level. It is connected with all other Departments of Finance Division and the following corporate departments: Treasury, Risks, Insurance, Investors Relations, Controlling, Accounting and Consolidation, Legal and Tax and Corporate Environmental & Social Responsibility.

The responsibilities of the Department are to :
•    manage the Group's external financing with debt or via structured transactions
•    manage the Group's short term funding and deposits

•    manage the Group's Currencies and Interest Rates exposure
•    manage the Group's relationship with financial Institutions


The Department is also in direct relation with the GBUs & Hubs, Business Units and external advisers (banks, law firms…).
 

2) Missions of the Senior Financial Advisor

We are looking for a Senior Financial Advisor who will have a dual reporting to (i) the Head of Corporate Funding and (ii) the Head of Structured & Trade Finance and will therefore have 2 main functions :

a) Corporate Funding & Rating:

•    Structure and implement corporate  credit facilities (bilateral and syndicated)
•    Structure and implement debt capital market transactions
•    Coordinate the allocations to the Green bonds and monitor the market evolutions in Green Finance
•    Monitor credit and debt capital markets
•    Analyse ENGIE’s liquidity and anticipate funding needs
•    Update the various financial instruments’ supporting documentation (EMTN, CP programs) and     follow up on corporate surveys (covenants, bank relationships)
•    Contribute to the bank relationship management

•    In relation with Treasury / in-house bank, assist in the implementation of external corporate financings at Business Units level (other than project finance)

•    Contribute to the annual reviews by the rating agencies, run rating sensitivities and contribute to related researches

b)  Structured & Trade finance:

  • Structure and implement transactions covering ENGIE working capital needs (factoring, collateral management for energy trading, securitization, environmental certificates management), usually with off balance sheet features
  • Structure and implement diversifying financings, notably via export finance deals (ECA) or thematic finance (MFIs)
  • Negociate and coordinate bank capacities with respect to guarantees, globally for ENGIE

 

 

Minimum  required qualifications(skills, knowledges, experiences or diplomas)

 

 

Competencies needed for this function 

  • At least 5  years' experience in Finance (e.g.Corporate Finance, Project Finance,
  • Structured Finance or Treasury Management), either within ENGIE Group or in a major bank or International corporate,
  • Good understanding of IFRS accounting, financial products, banking systems and capital markets,
  • Analytical capabilities and assertiveness,
  • Fluent English,
  • Good verbal and written communication skills,
  • Good organizational and planning skills,
  • Flexibility, autonomy and good resistance to stress.

 

 

Qualifications needed

  • A university degree In Finance, Economics, or a numerate discipline, and/or a MBA or relevant professional qualification (e.g. Qualified Accountant, CFA).
  • Any additional European language is a valuable asset
