SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of our Philippines Operations Center. This role involves ensuring operational efficiency, managing staff, maintaining compliance with local laws and regulations, and driving the site’s performance towards achieving company goals. The Operations Site Director will act as a key liaison with the US Operations team and ensure ongoing efficiency and development of our operations and operations team.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic and Operational Management:

  • Support the strategy and implement plans to ensure accomplishment of ENGIE Impact’s long-term strategic goals and plans
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the site while acting as a as a key point of contact for the US Operations teams
  • Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the site meets or exceeds performance and productivity targets
  • Participate in financial management; manage the site budget and resource allocation effectively

 

Team Management:

  • Lead 400+ employees, including a night shift with 250 employees and a day shift with 150 employees, ensuring alignment across the organization with regard to leadership, culture and objectives
  • Partner with Human Resources regarding all aspects of staffing and workforce planning, development of staff, evaluation of performance, and recommending salary adjustments
  • Responsible for coaching and performance management, including timely disciplinary actions and employment terminations
  • Promote leadership development and act as a mentor for team managers and supervisory staff

 

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on site performance and employee engagement
  • Communicate company updates to site staff
  • Recognize and celebrate department and individual accomplishments, modeling a strong client service commitment philosophy

 

Business Continuity, Compliance and Safety:

  • Oversee the Health & Safety of the site in coordination with the Global H&S team
  • Contribute to the business continuity disaster recovery plan as part of ENGIE Impact’s program
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.

 

Education/ Certifications/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years’ management experience within a production-focused multi-national organization
  • Proven experience leading and managing large teams (400+) in a client environment
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and industry standards
  • May consider a combination of relevant experience with educational and other skills and abilities in lieu of educational requirements

  • Proven experience leading and developing staff at varying levels and supporting an office in a global environment.
  • Strong focus on risk management and compliance considerations
  • Excellent and proven judgment associated with decision making

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products and strong computer acumen to learn and apply to new technology as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
  • Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office, ranging from quiet to moderate in nature due to an open area concept and multiple people on phone calls at one time.
  • Typical office hours for the day shift is 6:00am to 3:00pm and the night shift is 9:00pm to 6:00am
  • Performing duties and attending meetings/events during the evening and on weekends occurs occasionally and may be requited.
  • Traveling off-site to ENGIE’s offices does occur and may be required.
  • Must have ability to telecommute from a home-office environment.
  • Work schedules are determined by business need and manager discretion; full time employment is considered 40 hours per week
  • As a global organization, attending meetings and events during early mornings and evenings may be required
  • Performing duties and attending events during the evening and on the weekend occurs occasionally and may be required
  • Traveling off-site to employee and client locations globally, events and vendor meetings is required
  • Occasional international business trips may be necessary, and a valid passport is essential
  • Nominal Business travel required

 

REQUIRED PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time
  • The ability to perform the day to day responsibilities of this role in a proficient manner.
  • Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents
  • The ability to alternate between sitting and standing is present when a worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed when this need cannot be accommodated by scheduled breaks and/or lunch period.
  • Entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard. Traditional Keyboard refers to a panel of keys used as the primary input device on a computer, typographic machine or 10-Key numeric keypad.
