For the Service Line Real Estate, Workplace & Services of ENGIE Global Business Support,  we are looking for a Physical Security Manager Europe (M/F/X).

 

Embrace the opportunity to shape the future of security across Europe as our Physical Security Manager. In this dynamic role, you will be entrusted with a dual mandate. Your primary responsibility will be to strategize and oversee the physical security measures for our European GBS assets. Concurrently, you will also lead the operational security teams within the Belgian landscape.

As the torchbearer of our security initiatives, you will directly report to the Head of Service Line EUROPE. Your role will also involve close collaboration with the Chief Security Officer of ENGIE GBS, ensuring a seamless and robust security framework across all operations. This position offers the unique chance to influence and manage security at a continental scale, making a significant impact on our organization’s safety and success.

YOUR Key Responsibilities as Physical Security Manager Europe:

  • Manage local security resources in Belgium (Guarding, security technicians, receptionists).
  • Implement appropriate physical security measures for assets managed by SL Real Estate, Workplace & Services, including badges, cameras, alarms, electronic/physical locks.
  • Ensure security measures comply with local/national laws, regulations, and respect Privacy Data Protection rules.
  • Create a security asset list and organize a threat/security risk level review of all assets within the European perimeter.
  • Report all identified risks and security-related incidents to the Chief Security Officer of ENGIE GBS.
  • Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the Chief Security Manager ENGIE GBS for the European perimeter.
  • Monitor potential and actual threats to ENGIE employees, assets, and facilities, and provide alerts on immediate threats.
  • Participate in quarterly BE security meetings and promote the security culture.
  • Carry out security visits and manage crises involving security issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers to identify risks and propose solutions for new real estate and facility management projects.
  • Participate in the annual security Internal control (self-assessment).
  • Establish travel advice for professional trips worldwide in coordination with the Country Security Managers.

This role requires a proactive approach to security management, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of local and national security regulations. The ability to work well under pressure and manage crises is also essential.

YOUR PROFILE as a Physical Security Manager Europe

Seeking a dynamic Physical Security Manager with a passion for safeguarding assets and a knack for team leadership. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree and at least a year’s experience in physical security, law enforcement, or a related field.
  • Technical proficiency in security systems such as badges, cameras, alarms, and locks.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and respond effectively to crisis events.
  • Experience in cross-organizational initiatives and coordinating with diverse teams.
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Diplomacy skills to address issues with the appropriate parties at the right level.
  • A team-oriented mindset with a solution-focused approach.
  • A critical yet neutral perspective when required.
  • An eagerness to learn and continuously develop professionally.
  • Project management skills.
  • Basic security training and knowledge of Belgian Security legislation.
  • Willingness to obtain APP, CPP certifications and travel to other ENGIE GBS Immo sites in Europe as needed.( valid driving license needed)
  • Proficiency in English and French, with the ability to brief multiple stakeholders.
