What You Can Expect
Under the supervision of the ENGIE Energy Marketing North America (EEMNA) Operational Risk Director, the Operational Risk Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks associated with trading activities, systems, and processes. You will ensure the organization's operations and profitability are safeguarded by continuously monitoring and adjusting risk controls, investigating incidents, and enforcing risk policies and frameworks
- Risk Identification and Assessment:
- Identify operational risks associated with trading activities, systems, and processes
- Assess potential impacts of these risks on the organization’s operations and profitability
- Control Monitoring and Adjustment:
- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of risk controls and adjust them as needed
- Incident Investigation and Analysis:
- Investigate operational risk incidents, including system outages, process errors, and compliance breaches
- Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Policy and Framework Development:
- Create and enforce operational risk policies, procedures, and frameworks tailored to trading environments
- Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements related to trading activities
- Key Risk Indicators (KRIs):
- Develop and track KRIs to provide early warning signals of potential operational issues
- Technology Risk Assessment:
- Assess risks related to trading platforms, market data systems, and other critical technologies
- Business Continuity Planning:
- Ensure business continuity by developing and testing disaster recovery plans for trading operations.
- Disruption Management:
- Manage risks related to unexpected disruptions, such as cyberattacks or market shocks
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in operational risk management
- Proficiency in risk management tools and systems
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; working minimum 3 days in the office
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;
Compensation
Salary Range: $74,900 – $114,700 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
