What You Can Expect

The Director of Processes and Projects will report directly to the Supply & Energy Management (SEM) - US VP of Commercial Operations. You will be responsible for operational process improvement and the implementation and execution of special projects for the ENGIE Energy Marketing North America (SEM-US) organization.

 

  • Work with the VP of Commercial Operations on developing and prioritizing strategic and tactical plans and projects, and executing those projects to support the internal functioning of the Business Unit in  meeting P&L objectives in an ever evolving business across multiple US energy markets
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement initiatives and develop plans to drive organization change to achieve reduced internal friction, improved reliability, efficiency, and error-resistance of current processes
  • Collaborate with various departments and senior leadership to align operational excellence initiatives with current and future anticipated business goals and priorities
  • Lead a team to work on the project management and change management associated with the execution of strategic projects that will improve operational processes, improve results and ensure preparedness for increased transaction complexity and volume 
  • Drive coordination on cross-functional initiatives within the Business Unit
  • Utilize data for informed decision making and monitor and assess the effectiveness of operational improvements and identify areas for further optimization
  • Facilitate a culture of continuous improvement by coaching and training employees at various levels
  • Analyze existing business operational processes and identifying areas for improvement
  • Partner with business stakeholders, Digital & Data, and IT teams as appropriate, and translate findings into clear and actionable scope and requirements

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in relevant field (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain and Operations Management, etc.)
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience working in, or a combination of, operations, business transformation, operational improvement, project management, and/or special projects
  • Self-starter and creative thinker to be able to address problems and find solutions
  • Understanding of business process requirements, data requirements, as well as software and systems associated with power and gas transactions and optimization of physical renewable generation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assets in US markets 
  • Solution oriented with the ability to resolve conflicts
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at various levels
  • Experience working transversally across different teams (such as Origination, Business Development, Trading, IT, HR, Finance and Accounting, and Legal etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to drill into details, interpret information methodically, and synthesize information for decision making

 

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; working minimum 3 days in the office
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;

 

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $131,000 – $200,790 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
