What You Can Expect

As the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Advisor you will support the Utility Scale Flexible Generation Development business in the US and Canada by managing the M&A process for the operating area in addition to supporting the global business planning process.  Additionally, you will be primarily focused on standalone energy storage project and platform acquisition.

 

Every day in this role you will is to lead M&A transactions and coordinate activities internally and externally. You will also support the valuation process by collecting and validating pro forma modeling inputs and working collaboratively with the project finance team.

 

  • Lead counterparty negotiations and keep external and internal conversations aligned and moving forward
  • Lead the development of material to support internal governance process
  • Support the M&A team on transactions, process development, process management and market entry plans
  • Maintain transaction data and support group reporting
  • Sit first chair (and occasionally second chair) on transactions and run workstreams within transactions
  • Develop and maintain, with other groups, commercial and competitive intelligence

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a degree in finance, economics, mathematics, science, engineering or similar technical or analytics based program
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of energy industry experience in increasing levels of responsibility at a developer, utility, bank, investor or similar market participant
  • Outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in developing and utilizing detailed, Excel-based, financial models
  • Energy market experience and expertise
  • Commercial acumen in addition to deep analytic and/or technical capabilities
  • Ability to design processes and execute programs within a cross functional environment.
  • Proven flexible team player who works well with others
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically 30% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
