Instrument Control Technician Trainee

The role requires a detailed understanding and practical experience of Instrumentation and Control maintenance activities related to modern combined cycle gas turbine plant, desalination plant and a wide range of auxiliary plant equipment.        

The Job Holder will work closely with other Instrument Technicians to ensure Plant Routines are carried out efficiently and to high quality standards;

Technical            

• Responsible to ensure compliance of IMS.
• Practical experience of maintaining instrumentation and control equipment gained through hands on experience and formal training.
• Calibration of field instruments, analyzers, chromatographs and control valves; with expertise in handling I&C test equipment
• Organizing spares, tools and equipment to carry out maintenance activities
• Carry out maintenance activities on a range of major instruments and control systems in accordance with OEM Manuals for the equipment.
• Performs troubleshooting activities as necessary to determine failure conditions and rectifies the defects found.
• Works with Plant Operations Personnel for resolving problems encountered with control equipment under the guidance of the I&C Foreman/Engineer.
• Ability to carry out duties with minimum supervision
• Practical knowledge of plant isolations from system
• Knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices
• Ensures a safe working environment for himself and his colleagues while working on any equipment
• Computer literacy
• Good command of English Language
