What You Can Expect

As the Senior Analyst, you play a key role in providing the actionable insights necessary for our organization and customers to optimize their risk, cost, and sustainability decisions. Leveraging data science, you will formulate new prediction models and frameworks for ENGIE’s business decisions. The transversal nature of this role will afford you valuable face time with ENGIE's leadership and decision-makers through key project initiatives.

 

  • Research and analyze complex business problems to identify opportunities for enhancing costing, portfolio management, margin analysis, and renewable pricing and structuring
  • Develop and improve models and system platforms that support costing, portfolio management, and the optimization of retail portfolio profitability
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis on market fundamentals, risk exposure, and regulatory issues, providing actionable insights to enhance competitiveness and manage portfolio risks
  • Participate in portfolio management activities, including day-ahead energy scheduling, position management, margin measurement, and reconciliation of daily reports
  • Collaborate on the development and application of statistical and predictive modeling techniques to build and refine decision support systems, and support new product development initiatives

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Retail Power, Gas, or energy industry
  • You are knowledgeable in market mechanisms within one or all of the following ISOs ERCOT, PJM, ISO-NE, or NYISO, which is a strong advantage
  • You have proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, or Stata
  • You are experienced with data visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI or PowerPivot, enhancing your ability to analyze and present data effectively

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy  
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 5% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100 – $147,660 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
