What You Can Expect

As our Forecasting Operations Manager, you will lead a team of experts to deliver precise and timely electricity load and revenue forecasts. Your efforts will directly support critical business operations, including Portfolio Management, Settlements, Billing, and Leadership, making this a unique opportunity to influence our strategic decisions and enhance our market position. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with European colleagues to ensure consistency and leverage innovative approaches across all of GEMS. This role is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Port and Load Forecasting Director.

 

  • Manage and mentor the Forecasting Operations Team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Deliver accurate load and revenue forecasts, including back casts, short-term, medium-term, long-term, and scenario forecasts, ensuring effective communication and trust in forecast products
  • Oversee the end-to-end forecasting process, including data gathering, forecast creation, performance assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance models, processes, and data quality
  • Collaborate with partners to diagnose and resolve production system issues, implement product enhancements, and support the Portfolio Management Team and other business units with expertise, analysis, and load forecasts

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Math, or related field where you gained an understanding of complex problem-solving, data analytics, and the application of quantitative techniques to real-world scenarios
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the corporate environment
  • A minimum of five (5) years of business experience in electricity markets
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and statistical skills
  • A proficiency in MS Office, data visualization (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), SQL, Python

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, allowing for a mix of remote work and in-office presence
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 15% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $157,500 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
