Are you passionate about promoting a culture of health and safety? Our HSE Team at Laborelec is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the safety culture within our innovative research and innovation plant, with over 20 state-of-the-art laboratories. We assess hazards and design strategies to effectively manage risks in our workplace.
We are currently looking for a (F/M/X) Junior Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at Laborelec in Linkebeek, Brussels suburbs, Belgium.
About the team
As a Junior HSE Advisor, you will join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant HSE culture (ISO 45001) at Laborelec. Enjoy a stimulating work environment where your contributions will be crucial in ensuring a safe and healthy atmosphere for all.
Your responsibilities
- Conducting Safety Inspections: Regularly inspecting work sites to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assisting in Risk Assessments: Helping to identify potential hazards and assess risks in the workplace.
- Supporting Safety Training: Assisting in the development and delivery of health and safety training programs for employees.
- Incident Reporting: Documenting and reporting any incidents or near-misses to senior health and safety staff.
- Promoting Safety Awareness: Encouraging a culture of safety within the organization by promoting best practices and safety protocols.
- Maintaining Records: Keeping detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant health and safety laws and regulations.
- Translating Health & Safety Laws and regulations into operations rules.
Your profile
- Bachelor degree with a first professional experience in Health & Safety or strong willingness to learn and to develop knowledge and experience in Health & Safety.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills (spoken and written).
- Autonomous, dynamic, results-oriented, rigorous, and committed.
- Proficiency in French and Dutch, with very good English skills.
