SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for maintaining all account balances in conformity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Encompasses, preparation, review, analysis and reporting of financial information.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible for accuracy of the general ledger by performing monthly account analysis and reconciliations and correcting discoveries for assigned accounts.
  • Prepares accurate and timely transaction processing for cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals, and other general accounting transactions.
  • Prepares and posts journal entries into financial system as needed. Ensures appropriate documentation is attached for these entries.
  • Works to ensure all journal entries and defined reconciliations are complete for month end reporting.
  • Ensures that comprehensive accounting records are maintained in an organized manner including journal entry and reconciliation checklists.
  • Ensures compliance with government agencies such as SEC, BIR, PEZA, and BOI.
  • Maintains business partnering with Financial Planning and Analysis colleagues.
  • Completes special projects and support other functions within Financial Reporting team as requested.
  • Continuously assesses internal systems and recommends changes that would allow greater efficiency in monthly processing.
  • Cross-trains for backup on designated duties of team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of public accounting, bookkeeping, and/or shared services accounting experience

 

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in accounting practices including an understanding for IFRS.

  • Experience with establishing and maintaining effective work relationships.
  • Must possess and demonstrate a high degree of integrity.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess the ability to self-motivate and take initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and able to efficiently function under pressure.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ERP accounting software (SAP is a plus)
