The Role:

In conjunction with Sales Operations, Solutions Engineering, Marketing, Service Delivery, and Product Management groups, the Proposal Coordinator is responsible for the preparation and delivery of written sales proposals and formal RFP’s. This person executes coordinated efforts to help achieve sales goals and foster a favorable Company reputation among key internal and external audiences.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Writes, customizes, and finalizes high quality, compelling sales proposals in a timely manner, including RFP’s, RFI’s, and RFQ’s.
  • Work closely with Sales, Product Managers, and Company Stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Tracks progress of sale from point of proposal dissemination.
  • Ensures that pricing is reflective of current approved practices, and is reviewed by the appropriate parties.
  • Responsible for thoroughly understanding the full array of ENGIE Impact products and services in order to fully and effectively represent ENGIE Impact to our clients or potential clients during the bid and proposal process.
  • Ensures all pre-RFP information is completed, including submittals of intents to bid, questions, pre-qualifications, etc.
  • Coordinates updates to scope of work to reflect client deal changes and help ensure Company obligations and client expectations align. Ensure impacted internal stakeholders are involved in scope updates.
  • Updates and refines sales proposal content describing Company’s offerings and sales philosophies; secures approval from Sales Operations Director or designee on any major language changes to the proposals.
  • Utilizes, maintains and makes suggestions for improving key databases critical to job.
  • Establishes and maintains relationship with a network of key internal and external contacts as resources for communications efforts.
  • Keeps current on new product development, sales strategies, competitors, as well as emerging issues.
  • Manages client referral process to ensure appropriate use in support of efficient sales cycle management.
  • Models a professional work ethic based on integrity, mutual respect, and commitment.

  • Contributes to a successful work environment as a supportive team player and consensus builder.

 

Experience: 

  • Bachelors’ degree in relevant field
  • Solid background in proposal & technical document writing is a requirement for this role.
  • Writing skills must be flexible, with the ability to adapt to a variety of business styles depending on the client and document
  • Excellent command of English grammar, spelling and composition, as well as oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong detail orientation, analytical and general business skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and flexibility to change priorities.
  • Possesses advanced content formatting of complex proposal documents within Microsoft Word and Excel. Includes creation of any client requested supporting documentation and/or forms.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, maintaining effective relationships and fostering a positive attitude in a professional fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Minimum of 5-years of directly related work experience.

  • Experience using Qvidian Proposal Automation desired.

 

Work Environment: 

  • Work schedules are determined by business need and manager discretion; full time employment is considered 40 hours per week

  • Incumbent may be exposed to frequent noise caused by telephones, office machines, and nearby oral communications among fellow employees
  • As a global organization, attending meetings and events during early mornings and evenings may be required

REQUIRED PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time
  • Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents
  • Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and by video call
  • Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, in handwritten forms, and printed on paper
  • Ability to lift and carry a stack of forms and documents weighing up to 15 pounds
  • The ability to alternate between sitting and standing is present when a worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed when this need cannot be accommodated by scheduled breaks and/or lunch period.
  • Entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard. Traditional Keyboard refers to a panel of keys used as the primary input device on a computer, typographic machine or 10-Key numeric keypad.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, medical codes or alarms) in multiple forms; in person speech; telephone, other remote speech
  • Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.

The pay range for this role is: $63,000-$96,000. 

 

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Additional ENGIE benefits include a 401k plan, paid time off and annual bonus. ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
