Context:

FinOps Gas is the department providing support to Gas business Platform (the assets concerned are in particular Long Term Gas Contract, Transport & Storage capacities, Sales to internal marketer). FinOps Gas is made up of 3 teams :

• Middle Office/Business control gas is in charge of  PnL  Production, control and analysis

&  budget building

• Product control : is in charge of booking of controlling the consistency between the booking, the contractual documents and the invoicing elements.
• Accounting : guarantees the quality of the data feeding the accounting systems.

The opening position is within the Middle Office/ Business control gas team.

Your role will consist in producing, controlling and analyzing the daily and monthly reporting of the economic P&L of the Gas business platforms and contributing to the improvement/automation of processes in interaction with the other FinOPs Gas teams, gas business platforms and our IT partners

Role:

• Daily monitoring of P&L (MtM and S-P)

• Production of daily reporting
• Analysis of P&L vs expected P&L
• Exchange with the FO to ensure that you have a good understanding of the modeled assets and management strategies

• Monthly closing :

• Control of pre-injection data in accounting
• Support to the Accounting team on the economic/accounting P&L reconciliation
• YTD P&L & cash analyzes for performance review (vs budget, vs Y-1)
• Best Estimate P&L & cash analyzes for performance review (vs budget, vs Y-1)
• Exchange with the FO on the analyzes

• Budget process :

• Budget assumptions building with Font office (P&L and Cash)
• Year on Year variation analyzes

• Involvement/Contribution in process automation
• Ensure the existence of process documentation and their update

Hard skills:

• High level of comfort with the digital tools Outlook/Team/Excel
• Analytical and quantitative skills, combined with a hands-on approach
• Ability to optimize the processes and interact with IT teams to propose system evolutions
• A good knowledge of gas business and associated trading strategies will be a plus
• Knowledge/or interest of IT tools such as PowerBI or Python will be a plus

Missions et activités

Au sein de la Direction Controlling & Performance d’E&C,

Vous êtes l’interlocuteur principal en charge des questions financières liées au besoin de fonds de roulement, risque crédit et certificats d’économie d’énergie. Vous pourrez également être amené à travailler des sujets financiers transverses au sein du Pôle Contrôle de Gestion au-delà de ce domaine de référence.

A ce titre, vous assurerez les missions principales suivantes :

- Clôtures mensuelles et prévisions :

• Réaliser les reportings mensuels et analyses associées (suivi du réalisé, analyse du compte de résultat et CFFO, analyses KPI...)
• Assurer des prévisions (best estimate mensuel, budgets, PAMT) de qualité
• Optimiser la production des données et l’automatisation des tâches sur votre périmètre d’activité

 Context:

Product control department insures the post-trade control processes for the Gas trading activity at Engie by:

• Guaranteeing the alignment between the contractual terms Vs the booking ;

• Managing the day to day contract lifecycle (closing, invoicing, counterparties point of contract…) ;

• Been the contact for FO/regulatory/Tax/customs authorities/finance...

The team members are the single point of contact for the counterparties, the financial department and the FOs for the contract management. The team insures the alignment between the contractual terms and the booking.

Role:

• Manage the contracts related to the gas sourcing activity / gas transport capacity or storage (invoicing, closing and confirmation) : As single point of contact, you will need to have a perfect understanding of your contracts, identify the right booking schema, identify the impacts on the accounting chain and inform the relevant stakeholders ;

• Daily validation of the deals booked which are related to your contracts’ perimeter ;

• Frequent analysis of the contract data (mid-price, volumes, delivery points….) ;
• CFFO management, transfer price monitoring and follow OPEX transactions for the entity ;
• Manage the relation with authorities (taxe, legal, customs…) ;
• Insure the application of the contractual terms (volume, price…), including optional terms which can be complex like take or pay, force majeure… and follow the contract evolution ;
• Manage the disputes with the counterparties, with the contribution of the internal stakeholders (FO, Finance….);
• Support the FO, Sales, Tax/Legal on the deals’ origination, renegotiation process ;
• Produce figures analysis when needed (Audit, Internal control, Regulatory request…) ;
• Produce and follow relevant KPIs and dashboards related to your contracts’ perimeter (payment, deal validation….) and propose actions/solutions when issues are detected ;
• Interact with IT teams, provide guidance, test and validate the IT deliveries ;
• Migrate all the monitoring files, macros to our new digitalization technology DATAIKU.

Hard skills:
