Your mission
Tractebel has been appointed as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) by a leading technology company for the construction of a data center in Belgium.
This PMC role includes the management of the construction site which includes the development and roll-out and daily implementation and supervision of the construction site safety management system. This process is led by the construction site HSE manager in close collaboration with the construction site manager. The construction site HSE manager has the lead of a team of safety supervisors/coaches.
Your key responsibilities
- Develop and continuously update the site HSE management system, including plans, instructions, and emergency response procedures.
- Coordinate and advise the site management team on all HSE-related processes during construction and commissioning activities.
- Lead efforts to foster HSE awareness within the PMC team, ensuring collective management of key HSE topics.
- Serve as the main point of contact for HSE issues, liaising with internal teams and principal contractors.
- Investigate incidents, including accidents, near-misses, and dangerous occurrences, to ensure appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor the Permit to Work (PTW) process and ensure compliance with site safety standards through regular inspections and audits.
- Provide HSE training and support to the site team and contractors, ensuring the proper implementation of the HSE management system.
We would love to hear from people with
- A Master’s degree in engineering / Architecture supplemented with a qualification as prevention advisor level 1 / safety coordinator level A or international equivalent such as NEBOSH – diploma, certificate / NCRQ Certificate, diploma or NVQ Level 6 is a must.
- At least 10 years’ experience in a similar function.
- Proficiency in English, spoken and written.
