The opportunity:

Our retail energy business is at the forefront of low-carbon products, services and technologies, which help Australian households manage their energy bills and emissions.

You will report to the General Manager Digital, ENGIE Retail, in this newly created position at the forefront of our Digital evolution.

You will work closely with the GM Digital and General Managers across the Retail business to develop a technology architecture and roadmap aligning with future business strategy and customer expectations of ENGIE Retail.

You will define the solution architecture of how business capabilities are implemented on the Retail technology stack. This includes providing strategic technology and architectural recommendations, designing high-level end-to-end solutions that meet business needs, leading solution impact assessments on technology components, analysing business desirability, financial viability and delivery feasibility, and facilitating solution approvals and key decision making.

Responsibilities will include:

• Subject matter expert and internal reference for the architecture of how business capabilities are implemented on the Retail technology ecosystem
• Building strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders, and understanding their strategy and objectives
• Developing an architectural vision for the Retail technology ecosystem and a high-level blueprint (target state)
• Building strong relationships and interlocking with ENGIE’s technology vendors and partners: understand their product’s capabilities and roadmap, support the commercial contract negotiations, govern their delivery performance from an architectural standpoint
• Engaging with stakeholders in the solutioning process including; business leaders, group technology and IT, Cybersecurity Officer, Capability and Delivery leads

 About you:

• Expertise in the core technology components of an energy supplier: CRM, Billing, Data Platforms, Customer Applications, Communication Systems, Sales & Marketing, etc
• Pragmatic leadership: primarily leading by influence, with an ability to represent strategies and visions whilst being anchored in the practicalities of delivery.
• Demonstrable ability to engage and support delivery teams when required
• Strategic thinker with outstanding documentation and presentation
