To manage these challenges, we are looking for a Nuclear Security Operations Manager to work from Brussels, Doel and Tihange.
Your tasks and responsibilities as Nuclear Security Operations manager
The main objective of this position is to demonstrate effective and efficient support within the security domain to the corporate general interest perspective while pursuing business results by driving functional excellence, developing employees to their full potential, promoting productive impact across the corporation and effectively managing external relations.
Main activities:
- Process and govern security related legislation and support all sites within the nuclear entity in being compliant to the latest legislation by giving subject matter advice, support and training.
- Security point of contact for special projects on corporate level.
- Challenge operational security within the nuclear entity and formulate advices/improvements based upon learnings and return on experience.
- Deliver support in nuclear security incident investigations and act as lead investigator upon request of the management.
- Manage the Nuclear security training program and exercise planning on corporate level.
- Drive improvements in work processes, technology and security organisation.
- Support the head of Nuclear Security in improving the security culture.
- Network with external and internal stakeholders in order to:
- Increase intelligence capabilities
- Improve security awareness
- improve the efficiency and effectiveness of nuclear security operations
- Be prepared to manage a crisis (or participate to the crisis cell) when the crisis involves a security issue
- Deputy of the Head of Nuclear Security/Country Security Manager (in back-up/absence of the Country Security Manager)
The ideal profile
- Master degree (criminology, political science, security management, military science) and professional experience within the security domain for at least 5 years on corporate level.
- Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in law enforcement or related government/military security service or related private security work or is familiar (for at least 5 years) with the security subjects and is particularly interested and motivated to be fully involved.
- Is experienced in working on cross organizational initiatives and working in liaison and coordination with colleagues across diverse disciplines and teams
- Is able to work under pressure and has a full availability to participate in an efficient way in crisis events when they occur
- Is fluent in Dutch, French and is able to understand, to speak and to write reports in English
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Is able to provide both written and verbal briefings to multiple stakeholders
- Has the practical knowledge in Security Management systems
- Is able to perform Risk & threat analysis
- Is able to work in a regulated environment
- Planning of tasks, projects, … in a cross functional environment
- Is able to influence, engage and develop others (trainings, awareness sessions, …)
