What You Can Expect

The Project Delivery, Project Management Director for ENGIE, provides strategic leadership for a rolling portfolio of Renewable, Construction/Pre-Construction projects and mitigates potential risk by being proactive in assessing and addressing potential issues.

 

Everyday in this role you will provide Strategic, Tactical Leadership and direction to a staff of Project Managers (PM), Project Engineers, and Construction Site Managers to ensure project scopes, schedules, and budgets are managed for success. Develop strategic project objectives and provide direction for projects from late-stage development through pre-construction and construction phases. Champion change, effectively manage the implementation of new ideas, and communicate relevant information to senior management. Manage, guide, and mentor assigned staff at all levels, fostering their development and ensuring effective team leadership.

 

  • Project Management/Execution: Manage the integration of development and construction execution functions for committed projects. Provide tactical leadership for the preparation and maintenance of detailed project execution strategies, including contracting strategies, project management execution plans, construction plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensure the overall success of project execution by consistently implementing construction management tools for each assigned project
  • Contractor Management: Participate in the pre-qualification of all contractors to ensure the best opportunity for project execution success. Ensure that safety, quality, cost, environmental, landowner, and legal requirements are achieved or exceeded while accomplishing project objectives
  • Technical Guidance and RFP Process: Understand the implications of variance technical options and able to guide engineering designs to achieve the best optimal solution for each situation. Support the balance-of-plant process, preparation of turbine installation bid documents, and the Request for Proposal process. Assist with the negotiation of construction contracts. Provide input to the pre-engineering and constructability reviews, driving procurement of long-lead equipment and assisting the Pre-Construction Department with the construction contracting strategy
  • Leadership During Construction: Provide leadership during project construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, cost, environmental, landowner, and other project requirements are met or exceeded. Ensure the execution of work in accordance with contracts and policies
  • Financial Analysis and Compliance: Consolidate and analyze budgets, costs, forecasts, and utilization against established financial goals
  • Collaboration and Relationship Building : Support, and solicit input from staff at all levels of the organization while establishing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues, and reinforce a team approach throughout the enterprise, both on projects and internal initiatives. Develop effective relationships with internal departments, contractors, suppliers, landowners, and other stakeholders.   • Resource Management: Provide primary support to HR Department in recruiting new talent and developing PM job descriptions. Is the leader to review PM candidates, interview, and recommend successful candidates to fill roles to grow the Delivery Project Management group

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of equivalent technical training. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration    

  • Minimum 10 years in the utility scale energy sector including renewable energy, industrial construction, or capital project management

Project Management Professional Certification (PMP). However, we welcome candidates with equivalent experience or other relevant certifications

  • Advanced Knowledge:  Expertise in construction management and constructing methods for large projects, contract management, procurement, and supply chain management, environmental, building permitting, and transportation logistics
  • Basic Knowledge:
    • Construction labor relations throughout the U.S and Canada
    • Applicable industry standards and codes, including Uniform Building Code (UBC), International Building Code (IBC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI), National Fire Protection Association, (NFPA), and American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
    • Land surveying methods and practices, aerial photography, and mapping, including Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM), North American Datum (NAD) coordinate systems, and geospatial references
  • Technical Skills:
    • Ability to interpret documents produced in AutoCAD, GIS, and other discipline-relevant software
    • Understanding of project/construction management software platforms, preferable Procore and Microsoft Project Online
    • Proficiency of Microsoft products and/or complementing products
  • Competencies:
    • Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise
    • Effective leadership and team-building skills with organizational commitment
    • Ability to demonstrate strategic vision, and ability to work successfully with a team daily in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role requires attendance at our Broomfield, CO office two weeks a month, with the balance of time at project sites or hybrid ENGIE office
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 50% of the time
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record, for the use of hire cars or personal cars when traveling, to drive to site locations and meetings
  • This position consists of 35% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions

Compensation

Salary Range: $146,300 – $224,135 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

What You Can Expect

Currently ENGIE operates a 7 GW fleet of utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage assets across North America, which is expected to grow considerably in the coming years. As the Director of Renewables Operations Control Center (ROCC) you will be expected to structure, manage, coordinate, monitor, and assess the real-time operations of its renewable’s generation fleet.  The director will be essential in forming the ROCC’s operational philosophy and finding opportunities to create a cutting-edge control center. The ROCC Director collaborates closely with key stakeholders, including Engineering, IT, Operations, GEMS, and Asset Management, to develop, implement, and manage the processes and procedures essential for establishing and operating the ROCC. The director will oversee the ROCC team, which currently comprises one Supervisor and six operators working in a 24/7, year-round operational environment, along with the regulatory and compliance teams.

 

Key functions of the Director of ROCC and Compliance include:

  • Ensuring stable and reliable operation of generation facilities
  • Identifying and responding to plant and Bulk Electric System (BES) conditions
  • Communicating and coordinating with other BES entities
  • Dispatching field maintenance crews to investigate abnormal conditions
  • Logging actions, communications, and abnormal conditions for future review

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant trade education where you have learned about power systems, regulatory and compliance, controls
  • Minimum of ten (10) years in Real-Time Operations (RTO) within the electricity or thermal sector such as generation, transmission, or distribution
  • Experience with multi-level negotiation and advocacy skills, knowledge of power system equipment and technology, and familiarity with NERC Standards such as; Operations and Planning (O&P) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP)

The Project Manager Advisor is the primary manager of all phases of an energy project, with the objective of successful completion on time and within budget, while maintaining quality, safety, and cash management standards, and producing strong customer references. Assigned projects will include a combination of energy efficiency measures, renewable generation installations, and various carbon reduction strategies, to help public sector, commercial and industrial customers around the United States become more sustainable, save money, and improve processes in their plants and services to their end-users. In this role, you will manage one to several projects simultaneously from early development through post-construction, including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation.

 

In addition to assigning responsibilities to the project team and establishing schedules for individual team members, the Project Manager Advisor oversees various technical aspects of the project. This includes developing the project scope, conducting savings analysis, and ensuring the feasibility of proposed measures. Collaborating closely with the Sales team, they assist in customer presentations and interviews during the project's development phase. Furthermore, they liaise with the Legal department to prepare and negotiate customer agreements and change orders, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. The Project Manager Advisor is also responsible for managing all cost components throughout project implementation, maintaining precise budget records, and promptly notifying supervisors of any necessary adjustments. Additionally, they work alongside the construction manager to establish a comprehensive project schedule with regular progress milestones, ensuring timely completion. Alongside these responsibilities, they actively engage with Accounting to facilitate monthly customer invoicing and address any payment delays or issues proactively. Finally, they ensure compliance with local labor regulations and oversee the timely completion of monitoring set-up packages and final job close-out information.

 

This position can sit in Oakland, CA and will report to the Director of Project Management.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in which you have gained a knowledge of construction management, engineering elements, and project management functions

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, including training 
  • Proficient in financial analysis skills to predict customer project economics and manage project budgets

Your mission   

As a CAD Designer in our Ports and Waterways department you will contribute to our mission everyday by playing a crucial role in the day to day designing of our projects and cooperating with our engineers in order to bring our designs up to the Tractebel standard our clients are used to! 

  

 

Your key responsibilities     

  • You are responsible for the execution of Revit/BIM modelling for our marine infrastructure projects 
  • You are responsible for reinforcement modelling in marine and infrastructure projects
  • You assist the project engineer in dimensioning marine infrastructure projects following current Belgian and European standards, legislation, codes of practice and internal guidelines.
  • Prepare designs (preliminary, basis, tender, detailed) for marine structures such as Port & waterways development studies: Port Master planning, locks, Quay walls, Jetties, Bridge foundations, Flooding areas, dikes, Breakwaters and perform analyses to find the optimum installation method of these structures; always with an open mind for innovative and alternative solutions. 
  • You are reporting to the project leader and your team manager
  • You develop your technical skills (BIM, Revit, Autocad…) 
  • You carry out design throughout the execution of our marine infrastructure projects

  

We would love to hear from people with   

  • A specific interest in applying the relevant design codes and guidelines for the structural design and soil-structure interaction of offshore substructures or other marine infrastructure
  • Experience of designing and drafting marine infrastructure works in 3D drafting software (Revit)
  • Experience in designing concrete reinforcement in complex 3D structures.
  • Knowledge of Design Standards (ISO, EC, NEN, EAU, …)
  • Knowledge of standards for Building Consent (omgevingsvergunning) in Flanders (Belgium) is an asset 
  • Expertise of BIM/ CAD software (3D)  (Revit, Autocad,…)
  • Experience in the following software is a plus Civil 3D, BIM360
  • Knowledge of standard computer programs including spreadsheets and word processing.
  • A Bachelor in Civil Engineering or bachelor in engineering technologies or have 3 years relevant experience

What You Can Expect

As the Project Controls Advisor you will work within the Finance and Project Controls team within the Flexible Generation Business Unit. You will interface and work collaboratively on cross-functional internal and external project teams and corporate support functions to provide cost control services throughout the entire duration of the project life cycle. Every day you will be primarily responsible for cost estimating, cost tracking and control, risk analysis, and reporting for the assigned projects. This position will also be required to interface with various corporate support functions and be proficient in the use of various enterprise systems used by ENGIE.

 

Every day in this role you will lead project control processes for Flexible Generation development, construction and operational projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for budget and control development expenditures and capital expenditures for the complete pipeline of projects.

 

 

  • Ensure correct budget representation in finance and projects controls systems and smooth budget handover to subsequent owners through the projects’ lifecycle
  • Be the responsible within Flexible Generation for finance processes through the preparation of consolidated budgets for investment approvals, annual budget and business plan, and financing processes (tax financings, sell-down and partnerships)
  • Prepare monthly cash flow reports for the complete portfolio of projects, comparing approved budgets and up-to-date best estimates incl. monthly distribution
  • Facilitate financial optimization through DEVEX capitalization upon projects viability, time-writing, implement robust WBS process
  • Support Project Managers and Project Management Office budget management, in tracking progress against the project baseline budget at all time
  • Identify, monitor and actively control risks to project budgets
  • Assist with vendor requirements, invoice approvals, purchase orders, change events, and contingency management, facilitate systems and data integration, processes automatization
  • Keep robust and standardized tools, clean and tidy record keeping easily transferable to any internal and external stakeholder

 

What You’ll Bring

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Project or Construction Management, or in related field, or bachelor’s degree equivalency with practical experience and knowledge of relevant technical systems
  • A minimum 7 years in projects, cost controls or any financial and controlling role
  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to create customized cost estimating and analysis tools using data import, sorting, and filtering, pivot tables, graphs/charts, and custom formulas

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept to execution, ensuring compliance with quality, budget, and timeline requirements.

What You Can Expect

As the Ecological Restoration / Vegetation Management Advisor based in Houston, TX, you will ensure that ecological restoration and vegetation management strategies are developed, implemented and effectively maintained across all ENGIE Renewables sites.  You will work closely with the development and delivery teams to identify and implement vegetation management strategies for new projects.  You will be responsible for ensuring site preparation and seeding during the delivery phase and managing the operational phase, including coordinating contractors for mowing, grazing, or other methods. This role requires collaboration across teams to support the success of vegetation management throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Reporting to the VP, Field Operations, your primary duties will encompass:

 

  • Keeping up to date with innovation and industry best practices and acting as subject matter expert in relation to ecological restoration, vegetation management, agrivoltaics (such as sheep grazing), pollinator habitat and other related activities.
  • Ensuring sites remain compliant with regulatory requirements, planning consents and land lease obligations along with any other such requirements. Including the tracking and closure of consent and licensing conditions
  • Conducting ecological restoration related fieldwork, including assessment of site conditions, noxious weed mapping, storm water pollution prevention planning, auditing of restoration works and restoration monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards
  • Working closing with teams across development, construction and operations and maintenance to develop ecologically minded site restoration strategies / specifications, including seed mixes, biodiversity enhancements, monitoring protocols, and vegetation maintenance plans for use during a project’s planning, construction, and operations phases
  • Drafting technical memos and reports, along with other project support materials as needed
  • Identification and assessment of suitably qualified and experienced vegetation management contractors, drafting of scopes along with the tendering, letting and day to day management of contracts
  • Communicating effectively regarding the scope and schedule of restoration and vegetation management activities to be performed, onsite along with ongoing monitoring and maintenance required by site teams
  • Assessment and approval of weed abatement treatments for use on site including pesticides and herbicides.
  • Completes other duties as assigned

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in restoration ecology, natural resource management, environmental science, conservation biology, or a closely related discipline; In lieu of the educational requirement, we will accept a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant industry experience in vegetation management & ecology restoration
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently and interact professionally and respectfully with project managers, site managers, contractors, landowners, and regulatory bodies

 

Additional Details

  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically with United States and Canada 40% to visit sites, company meetings, events and training

Compensation
