Environnement de travail

 

Tu travailleras en tant qu'ingénieur en transport, avec un accent sur l'infrastructure ferroviaire ("Light Rail", c'est-à-dire les liaisons de tramway et de métro), depuis notre bureau de Gand de Bruxelles (Gare du Nord) , au sein de notre département Infrastructure des transports, le département de Tractebel qui conçoit/étudie principalement des projets liés aux routes, aux liaisons de tramway, aux aéroports, aux tunnels et aux ponts.

Outre la conception de routes, la conception de systèmes d'égouttage constitue une deuxième partie importante, compte tenu du changement climatique et de l'utilisation durable de l'eau (de pluie).

 

Fonction

 

  • Tu participes à des projets d'infrastructure concernant la conception géométrique des voies de tramway et de métro (light rail)
  • Tu participes à la conception et aux calculs des installations électriques des stations de traction, des lignes aériennes et à la conception de la signalisation,....
  • Tu es responsable de la rédaction des documents d'appels d'offres
  • Tu apportes un soutien technique aux chefs de projet
  • Tu recherches de manière autonome des solutions techniques
  • Tu suis les nouveaux développements dans le domaine

 

Profil

 

  • Tu es titulaire d'un master en électromécanique, en sciences industrielles ou en ingénierie (ingénieur industriel ou civil) avec un intérêt marqué pour l'électricité/génie électrique/électronique
  • Tu es passionné.e par l'électricité et suis de près les développements dans le domaine ferroviaire
  • Tu as une première expérience professionnelle (idéalement de 3 à 5 ans)
  • Le travail en équipe est pour toi une évidence et une source de motivation.
  • Tu es orienté.e client, flexible et tu as de bonnes compétences en matière de communication
  • Tu as une bonne connaissance pratique de MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) et de MS Project
  • Tu maîtrises parfaitement le français (obligatoire). Une très bonne connaissance de l'anglais (et du néerlandais) est un plus.

¿Qué tareas realizarás?

Este rol se encargará de soportar en forma efectiva los trámites de permisos o autorizaciones incluyendo la preparación de expedientes. Así como identificar peligros y evaluar los riesgos cumpliendo con las normas de seguridad y cuidado del medio ambiente.

Como Soporte al Desarrollo de Negocios:

- Liderar la ejecución y optimización técnico-económica del diseño básico durante el desarrollo de proyectos de transmisión.

- Asegurar que los distintos componentes del proyecto respeten los aspectos técnicos de las licitaciones.

- Determinar potenciales riesgos y restricciones técnicas de los proyectos en evaluación y proponer las medidas de mitigación.

En la Implementación de Proyectos:

- Controlar el avance del proyecto en plazo y costo detectando desviaciones y proponiendo las medidas de mitigación correspondiente.

- Liderar la revisión de diseño y estudios de los proyectos en implementación y la preparación de expedientes técnicos para permisos.

- Coordinar la supervisión de las actividades de montaje y puesta en marcha para alcanzar los objetivos de calidad, cronograma y presupuesto.

- Monitorear, coordinar y anticipar problemas sociales en el sitio y áreas de influencia del proyecto que puedan impactar el proyecto.

 

¿Qué habilidades necesitamos para esta posición?

- Profesional en Ingeniería Eléctrica, Mecánica-Eléctrica o Ramas Afines.

- Experiencia en implementación de proyectos de Transmisión de media y alta tensión.

- Deseable experiencia en proyectos de extra-alta tensión (500 kV), altitudes mayores a 4,000 msnm y en selva.

- Deseable conocimiento avanzado del PMBOK o certificación PMP

- Indispensable Inglés intermedio

- Conocimientos de administración de proyectos y contratos.

What You Can Expect

The Project Manager Advisor is the primary manager of all phases of an energy project, with the objective of successful completion on time and within budget, while maintaining quality, safety, and cash management standards, and producing strong customer references. Assigned projects will include a combination of energy efficiency measures, renewable generation installations, and various carbon reduction strategies, to help public sector, commercial and industrial customers around the United States become more sustainable, save money, and improve processes in their plants and services to their end-users. In this role, you will manage one to several projects simultaneously from early development through post-construction, including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation.

 

In addition to assigning responsibilities to the project team and establishing schedules for individual team members, the Project Manager Advisor oversees various technical aspects of the project. This includes developing the project scope, conducting savings analysis, and ensuring the feasibility of proposed measures. Collaborating closely with the Sales team, they assist in customer presentations and interviews during the project's development phase. Furthermore, they liaise with the Legal department to prepare and negotiate customer agreements and change orders, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. The Project Manager Advisor is also responsible for managing all cost components throughout project implementation, maintaining precise budget records, and promptly notifying supervisors of any necessary adjustments. Additionally, they work alongside the construction manager to establish a comprehensive project schedule with regular progress milestones, ensuring timely completion. Alongside these responsibilities, they actively engage with Accounting to facilitate monthly customer invoicing and address any payment delays or issues proactively. Finally, they ensure compliance with local labor regulations and oversee the timely completion of monitoring set-up packages and final job close-out information.

 

This position can sit in Oakland, San Jose, or Sacramento, CA and will report to the Director of Project Management.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in which you have gained a knowledge of construction management, engineering elements, and project management functions
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, including training 
  • Proficient in financial analysis skills to predict customer project economics and manage project budgets 
  • Strong negotiation skills that protect ENGIE’s interests on a given project, while building customer and vendor/subcontractor rapport 
  • Ability to prepare and write accurate customer reports and RFX responses, with attention to customer goals and needs 
  • Capability to create and execute project development and delivery schedules 
  • Excellent adherence to schedule, and collaborative problem-solving skills to maintain budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction 
  • High standards of accuracy, appearance, and thoroughness of project documentation 
  • Ability to review engineering work across all typical energy project scope types

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

The Project Support Officer (PSO) is part of a PSO team dedicated to a Business Stream (e.g. FR/UK) in the Project Support Office section, integrated into the “Operational Performance” department of the Global Nuclear Business Area. The PSO teams report to the PSO Manager.

 

Role
 

Under the supervision of the project manager, prepare, coordinate and monitor the planning, scope, deliverables, project interfaces, risks and budget aspects of one or more projects during its development and execution phases. Provide support to project managers and project team members in the use of the Planisware project management tool to aid in the efficient and effective execution of projects.

Under the supervision of the Sales manager, to contribute to tender responses, both on the methodological part and on the planning load estimation part during studies, achievements, etc.

 

Responsibility
 

  • Construction of the workload plan with the teams concerned (Sales, Business Stream and Métiers), transcription of the workload into PLANISWARE and support for reporting the information necessary to keep the “Workforce Planning” up to date.
  • Support the project manager (PM) on the basis of his inputs, to build the initial scope of the project (planning and budget):
    • By proposing an adequate WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).
    • By checking that workload plans are realistic and optimized, particularly with regard to production and associated deliverables
    • By ensuring that the schedule has enough margins (buffer).
  • Assist the CDP in monitoring the project:

o By integrating the progress of the various activities into the schedule.

o By analyzing the impact of activity advances and delays on the critical path of the project.

o By proposing "planning" optimization tracks in the event of deviation.

o By analyzing the relevance of the rest of the project and, if necessary, helping to update

o By helping the CDP to integrate scope changes into the schedule.

  • Collect update data from members of the project team if necessary;
  • Ensuring internal and external planning reporting;
  • Guarantee the effectiveness of project meetings by prior updating of the schedule;
  • Display the progress status of the project according to the indicators in force;
  • Define the best way to follow the deliverables on the project in coherence with the WBS (ex: directly in Planisware or a tool dedicated and correlated to the tasks concerned);
  • Help to integrate the interfaces and represent the potential impact of risks in the planning in a proactive way with the project managers and ensure that they are managed;

  • Help define the key indicators (KPIs) to be monitored and the reporting associated with these elements,
  • Generate these KPI's, and the reporting associated with these elements.

  • Accurately organize and control the execution of the works according to the work packages, time frames and budgeted hours

  • Manage the site team, as well as sub-contractors where applicable.
  • Direct daily monitoring of construction activity on the project and ensure that works are executed as documented and checked for compliance and coordination among all discipline.

Quality and Technical control

 

  • Ensure all documentation and monitoring of all activities for each contractor.
  • Provide guidance to the project team when needed.
  • Ensure the technical level of delivered services on projects meet the client’s expectations and the highest standards of Quality and Health and Safety.
  • Manage Non-conformances and Punch list and oversee corrective actions.

 

Project follow up 

 

  • Maintain and update all construction program (schedule versus actual).
  • Monitor the construction productivity (schedule versus actual).
  • Take responsibility on progress reporting, traceability, monitoring of extra works and their impact on planning and cost.
  • Take adequate measures to recover any delay.
  • Maintain good relationship with all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the project team on issue relating to actual site progress for updating purposes.
  • Attend meeting to effectively respond to complaints relating to schedule and productivity and maintain close co-operation to achieve the timely completion of the project.

 

Management

 

  • Motivate and support a project team to achieve their targets.
  • Manage site team, Contractors/Subcontractors during the performance of the assignments to achieve objectives of the project.

  • Reporting to the Vice President, Project Delivery, your primary duties encompass:
  • Leads a core project support staff consisting of the project software administrator (Procore), scheduling experts, analysts and/or assistant project managers
  • Manages the day-to-day activities and workload of the PMO staff in support of battery energy storage projects and the Project Delivery team’s objectives
  • Coordinates and liaises with ENGIE’s and the Business Unit’s Industrial Project Oversight, Investment Oversight, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, and other functional teams
  • Hires, trains, and develops the PMO staff; develops staffing plans to support the PMO and Project Delivery team objectives
  • Designs and manages a rotational training program to support battery energy storage projects and project manager/staff development within the business unit
  • Develops and improves, with input from the greater Project Delivery and business unit teams, process to support “industrialization” of project delivery and management, including development and maintenance of the associated process diagrams
  • Develops, implements, and monitors critical Project Delivery KPIs using dashboards and analysis of data maintained in our management information systems including Procore, Coups, and SAP
  • Develops, maintains, and improves template documents used to manage projects such as Project Management Plans, Risk Registers, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, Project Schedules, WBS structures, and periodic reports with the support of ENGIE group policies, procedures, guidance, and existing templates
  • Supports ENGIE’s One Safety Culture by ensuring all ENGIE safety requirements are properly included in project template documents and processes; leads and exhibits a high level of safety awareness and concern

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering or related technical discipline required
  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in physical/construction project management

Work Environment

The activities of Rehabilitation of Industrial Sites (RIS), in which you will be active, include carrying out studies and following up the works to be carried out regarding the removal of asbestos and the demolition of power plants and industrial facilities, waste management, soil and groundwater remediation. Furthermore, RIS is actively involved in the redevelopment of brownfield sites integrating all these activities in a broader context. 

RIS focuses mainly on complex demolition assignments and this both in a national and international context. You will be supervised by a Sr. Project Manager with 20 years of experience in the execution of national and international demolition assignments. Due to the strong growth of the activities, we are looking for  (young) engineers with interest in the demolition sector and who want to develop quickly to project manager. 

Tractebel has a philosophy of flexible working hours and work locations. You will join the team in Ghent for at least 2 days a week. On the other days you can work at home or go on site when required, thus avoiding long travel times and balancing work and private life.

 

Job Description

  • You will think and collaborate in the execution of (selective) demolition assignments, including asbestos remediation, while preserving historically and architecturally important parts of the buildings; 
  • You help carry out preparatory surveys prior to demolition work; 
  • You follow up and supervise the execution of demolition works; 
  • You will participate in integrated multidisciplinary teams for remediation and redevelopment of highly contaminated industrial sites;

Profile

  • You have a bachelor's in construction or master's degree in engineering, preferably structural engineering;
