Project Engineer Senior

As the Project Engineer Senior, you will manage the Engineering activities related to design for utility-scale renewables projects (wind, solar, and energy storage) throughout the US and Canada and serve as a main point of contact.

 

Every day, you provide engineering technical input into projects at various stages (from feasibility/ preliminary to detailed design), coordinate Engineering design efforts with EPC or external consultants to review and comment on design submittals in coordination with support from ENGIE subject matter experts (Civil and Electrical) and manage and ensure all deliverables meet Project specifications. Additionally, you manage external engineering firms, subcontractors as well as various engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, structural, etc.) to achieve the highest level of engineering and design for project execution and actively identify all critical risks, issues and impacts of the project specifically the adequate application of and adherence to corporate health & safety and environmental requirements.

 

  • Review/monitor contractors’ progress and monitor the progress relating to key project milestones
  • Internal coordination with Development, Engineering, Permitting, GIS and Land group
  • Assist procurement in running RFPs and managing the process to sub-contractors
  • Remain up to date on new technologies and regulatory conditions including utility requirements, vendor qualifications, industry best practices, safety standards, and relevant standards development
  • Travel to perform site assessments, design review meetings and due diligence of development engineering throughout the USA and Canada in support of site evaluation and development and permitting activities

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering which you completed courses in civil engineering or electrical engineering or comparable technical knowledge through demonstrated work experience with a solid understanding of power generation plants.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar positions, managing renewable energy projects and producing standards, specifications, and documentation.
  • Experience and understanding of the owner’s engineer role
  • Experience and understanding of technical due diligence
  • Experience and understanding of commercial contracts and negotiations

 

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically  up to 40% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100 – $147,660 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

  • Vei participa la interviurile în vederea angajării / contractării de personal necesar bunei desfășurări a proiectului;
  • Vei evalua periodic performanțele personalului alocat (atât resurse interne cât și externe) și stabilește măsuri în vederea îmbunătățirii acestora;
  • Vei fi responsabil/ă cu programul de lucru și operațiunile aferente pontajului;
  • Vei participa la ședințele de organizare de șantier impuse de antreprenorul general pe parte de SSM;
  • Te vei implica în rezolvarea disputelor, negocierilor sau litigiilor dacă este cazul, atât cu clienții cât și cu contractorii.

Experiență, calificări, cunoștințe și abilități:

  • Studii superioare finalizate în domeniul tehnic;
  • Minimum 5-6 ani experiență în domeniul instalațiilor (execuție, montaj) service sau facility management;
  • Cunoștințe de legislație specifică domeniului de activitate;
  • Cunoștințe privind piața de servicii și instalații energie electrică și PV;
  • Managementul proiectelor;

As the Country Director in Mozambique, you are ultimately accountable in country for all aspects of EEA Mozambique’s work. You will own the opportunity of leading and growing a high-performing team of over 200 (including a young and vibrant leadership team) and further scaling and diversifying our business by building out the operations for optimal geographical coverage of Mozambique, developing government relationships, and ensuring the business’s long-term strategic and financial sustainability.

Strategy Development and Implementation

  • Develop and implement the multi-year strategic vision and annual country business plan, aligned to the overall EEA strategic plan.

As a Pre-Construction Senior Project Manager in Westminster, CO, you will be responsible for fostering grid scale wind, solar, and storage projects through the pre-construction phase of project development.  Successful execution of this position requires clear and consistent coordination of multiple project stakeholders including developers, contractors, vendors, owners, and financing partners.

 

Every day, you will provide project management coordination and support for large and complex wind, solar, and storage projects during the pre-construction phase of the project. You will be responsible for the managing request for proposal (RFP) process for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services and manage commercial aspects of all project related contract negotiations. You will also support pre-construction activity including site studies, surveys, preliminary engineering, and estimating and internal project capital expenditure approval processes to secure budget for Project Delivery scope.   

 

• Coordinate and support internal stakeholders including development, engineering, interconnection, and power marketing teams with Capex input requests.

•Coordinate and manage key project stakeholders including Balance of Plant (BOP) Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor. 

•Support major equipment (modules, wind turbines, batteries, and substation) procurement processes.

•Participate in the negotiation of key project contracts including Major Equipment Supply Agreements and BOP-EPC Agreement. 

•Ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan.

•Continually assess project risk and maintain project Risk Register during preconstruction phase.

•Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all parties involved in the development and approval of the project. 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

Your function

  • You develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for balance of plant systems (e.g., water/steam cycle, cooling water, fuel supply, auxiliaries) and ensure comprehensive analysis and documentation of relevant information.
  • You apply design and calculation tools for comprehensive documentation.
  • You size and select mechanical equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, control valves, compressors, vessels, tanks etc)

The Director of Interconnection will be responsible for managing the interconnection and grid integration process to support the company's overall development and operational goals in California Independent System Operator “CAISO”.   • Coordinate, review and interpret interconnection and transmission studies performed by utilities and outside consultants
  • Function as main liaison with project developers, and third-party consultants, on matters relating to interconnection to provide technical insight and business solutions to reduce interconnection cost and remove obstacles to project development
  • Perform/manage analysis to predict interconnection capacity, deliverability, and other key parameters to support project development and have experience with load flow modeling and analyses
  • Conduct due-diligence review for potential interconnection and transmission risks related to potential projects, portfolio acquisitions, and commercial transactions; provide recommendations to the acquisition team
