Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Storekeeper to join our team, based at Dinorwig Power Station, with flexibility to travel to other First Hydro locations as needed.

 

The Storekeeper will be actively involved in accounting for all assets within the Stores locations, ensuring a seamless flow of goods and services to meet business needs.

 

This role requires flexibility to cover for the Stores Supervisor during short periods of absence.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Dispatch, issue, and receive goods to maintain an uninterrupted flow of goods and services.
  • Use the stock management system to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Support the Stores Supervisor in minimising environmental impacts and ensuring recycling in line with ISO 14001 obligations.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of store assets.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment within the stores at all times.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Proficient in office IT skills such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management for large industrial stores (e.g., JIT, Stock Checking).
  • Thorough understanding of inventory systems.
  • Good understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation applicable to a stores environment.
  • Ability to operate stores-related plant (e.g., forklifts, side loaders) and drive stores commercial vehicles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.
  • Team player with a willingness to work collaboratively.
  • Understanding of the financial aspects of stores to ensure seamless interface with finance.
  • Good organisational and methodical skills to assist in reorganising the main stores.
  • Experience and knowledge of recognised standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) in a stores environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • GCSE English Grade C and above or equivalent NVQ
  • GCSE Mathematics Grade C and above or equivalent NVQ
  • IOSH Working Safely or equivalent

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Information Systems Security Officer to play a crucial role in enhancing our cybersecurity measures. Based at the Dinorwig Power Station in the heart of Snowdonia, you will work closely with our engineering, production, and business departments to ensure the power stations are always ready. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

 

*You must be eligible to work in the UK and have been a resident in the UK for the last 5 years. This role will be subject to National Security Vetting.*

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage a cybersecurity system based on ISO27001 standards.
  • Monitor cybersecurity within projects, ensuring necessary actions and measures are followed.
  • Lead the monitoring and management of Information Security risks.
  • Collaborate with ENGIE Information Security Teams to develop strategies for securing industrial assets in line with internal policies and external regulations, including NIS regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
  • Internationally recognized certification in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA).
  • Prior experience in managing industrial cybersecurity.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex IT security solutions.

Skills:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Logical, analytical, and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong attention to quality, reliability, and safety.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

  • Experience with ISO-based management systems.
  • Familiarity with deploying Cyber Security regulations and best practices.
  • Proven track record in managing projects.
  • Experience in designing, documenting, and implementing IT Security policies, processes, and procedures.

About the Role

 

As an HRIS and Payroll Advisor at ENGIE UK, you will play a critical role in managing and optimising our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and payroll processes. This position ensures the accuracy, integrity, and security of HR data while providing analytical support to the HR and management. You will act as a liaison between the HR, finance, and IT departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role is a hyrdrid role working a minimum of 2 days a week in the office from our pumped storage plants at Dinorwig.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

HRIS

  • Assist in maintaining HR data within HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and integrity.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Generate and analyse HR metrics and reports to aid decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Provide user support for selected business areas, resolve queries where possible, and escalate complex issues to the Global HR teams.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation, ongoing maintenance, and development of ENGIE UK’s HR systems.

Payroll

  • Oversee and process various payrolls of the company with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation, safeguarding the confidentiality and security of employee information.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Identify areas for improvement in payroll processes, potential system enhancements, and opportunities for automation to streamline operations.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll-related tax filings and reports.

 

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Minimum three years of experience working in a payroll processing role, demonstrating a solid understanding of payroll compliance.
  • Proficient in using payroll and HR databases.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in payroll calculations and compliance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-payroll staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll discrepancies and implement process improvements.
  • Proficient use of Office 365 suite: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the use of SharePoint.
  • Adequate understanding of PowerBI.
  • Highly skilled in using and configuring HR and associated systems.
  • Good understanding of HR processes and environment.
  • Strong commitment to data integrity and governance/controls.
  • Capable of managing conflicting and demanding priorities with excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree or HND in an IT or HR discipline would be an advantage.
  • Interest in studying towards the CIPD qualification.
