ENGIE and EDP Renewables’ joint venture (50/50), Ocean Winds, has just won a tender in Australia for 1.3 GW of offshore wind turbines. It’s a good step forward for the Group which is aiming for
80 GW of renewable energies by 2030. The essentials, in three figures:
- 150 km2: the zone for which ENGIE obtained authorization for the wind farm feasibility study.
- 1 million: the number of households in the state of Victoria that the windfarm will supply.
- 5.3 million tons: the quantity of CO2 avoided thanks to renewable wind power
