What You Can Expect

As a Real Time Optimization Senior Representative, you will support the delivery of financial results of the region versus budget within the values and ethics of the company. You will support the implementation of real-time dispatch strategies for optimizing a portfolio of ENGIE and third party owned generation assets.

 

  • Responsible for implementation of asset dispatch strategies for optimizing ENGIE’s portfolio of generating assets
  • Responsible for submission of bids and offers into Independent System Operator’s (ISO’s) systems, ensuring timeliness and correctness
  • Maintain a continuous operation picture of fleet performance, position, and risks
  • Act as primary communication point between plants, Independent System Operators (ISOs), Transmission Operators (TOs), asset managers
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-the minute status and for keeping documentation of important information (unit availability, generation level, dispatch base points, generation cost, fuel inventory, market prices, etc.)
  • Understands and conveys important pass down information at each shift-change
  • Communicate relevant information to stakeholders as appropriate in a timely manner
  • Act as a team member with all employees of ENGIE Energy Marketing North America staff
  • Comply with all ENGIE North America policies and procedures
  • Carries out other duties as assigned

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in business, finance, economics, engineering or equivalent combination of technical training
  • A minimum of 5 years of energy experience in Real Time Operations optimizing generating assets or Power Plant Operations   
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and 12-hour night shifts which routinely include working some weekends and holidays.  This position will be a rotating position
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
  • Willingness and ability to obtain PJM or North America Reliability Corporation (NERC) certification
  • Understanding of power markets and ISO rules is required
  • Must possess strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Adapt to working in a constantly changing environment, bidding strategies, unit commitment strategies

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100 – $147,660 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

About the role

Internal Audit is responsible for periodic control. As such, GEMS Internal Audit Expertise Center (EC Audit) provides professional, objective and independent assessments of GEMS operations by delivering qualitative assurance audit and consultancy services, aiming at adding value and helping the organization improve the performance, efficiency and level of control of operations. Internal Audit verifies that inside practices and processes comply with established rules and regulations and makes recommendations to improve the control framework.

EC Audit’s covers the full spectrum of GEMS activities

 

EC Audit is a team of 7, composed of 6 Internal Auditors plus the Head of EC.

 

In GEMS organization & governance, EC Audit has a hierarchical link with GEMS CFO as well as with the Chairman of EGM Audit Committee and ensures its independency through a functional reporting line to ENGIE Group Internal Audit.

 

 

Role:

We are recruiting an Internal Auditor with a strong expertise in Energy commodity trading, Risk Management & Energy Management.

 

The Internal Auditor will be led to perform audit engagements on the full spectrum of GEMS activities. This wide scope covers Engie Global Markets (EGM), the banking-regulated entity regulated by the French Banking Authority ACPR, as third line of defense required by regulation, but also all Energy Management activities (Gas, Power, Renewables, …) as well as all BtoB Supply activities of GEMS.

The Internal Auditor could also be required to occasionally contribute to ENGIE Group Internal Audit engagements on Energy Management.

 

The position reports to the Head of GEMS EC Audit.

 

The Internal Auditor’s daily responsibilities will consist in conducting end-to-end audits as detailed below:

  • Validate the audit scope and submit the engagement letter in compliance with audit professional standards
  • Build a robust working program and obtain its approval by the Head of Internal Audit
  • Respect the planning and the deadlines
  • Lead the fieldwork and document the audit work in the testing worksheets by collecting evidence to support the audit conclusions
  • Prepare discussion notes and debriefing sessions and give adequate and correct feedback to all stakeholders and the Head of Internal Audit
  • Write an audit report in a synthetic way with clear and realistic audit findings
  • Alert in due time the Head of Internal Audit and the Management in case of any potential regulatory or significant risks that might affect the audit mission or the GEM business continuity
  • Collaborate with a good team spirit with the rest of the audit team on each mission

Auditors of the team act in turn as Lead Auditor on the various missions.

Wat ga je doen als (Junior) Business Analist Costing?

Als business analist costing ben je verantwoordelijk voor het vaststellen van de kostprijzen voor onze klanten en het boeken van de gecontracteerde volumes. Jij bent de specialist die proactief meedenkt met Marketing & Sales (M&S) over het bieden van klantoplossingen, het optimaliseren en standaardiseren van processen op de afdeling, en het correct inschatten en kwantificeren van klantrisico’s.

 

Verder ga je:

  • De kostprijzen vaststellen voor de levering en teruglevering van elektriciteit, gas en groene energie aan klanten. Hierbij beoordeel je onder andere de aanvraag op juistheid en volledigheid. Ook controleer je of de kostprijs een correcte weergave is van de kosten en risico’s die gepaard gaan met het dragen van de programmaverantwoordelijkheid.
  • Zorgen voor een tijdige, volledige en juiste sourcing van de ingekochte posities.
  • Proactief meedenken en M&S adviseren over productoplossingen en bijbehorende risico’s voor de klant. Indien nodig ontwikkel en implementeer je op maat gemaakte producten.

Jij maakt deel uit van het EMS-team in Zwolle. Binnen de afdeling EMS (Energy Management Sales)  werk je in het Team Costing, dat bestaat uit zes collega’s van verschillende leeftijden. Er heerst een cultuur van gezamenlijke verantwoordelijkheid, leergierigheid (begrijpen hoe dingen werken) en openheid. Samen met je collega-analisten werk je aan tastbare inzichten in de kosten voor zowel de organisatie als de klant.

  • Heb je een afgeronde HBO/WO-opleiding in een economische, wiskundige of financiële richting.

Wat bieden wij jou als (Junior) Business Analist Costing?

What You Can Expect

As our Customer Engagement Data Analyst II, you will develop complex analytical tools for tracking performance across multiple business systems, including Sales, Partners, and non-commodity business sales. You will be expected to be proficient in Power BI and SQL for designing, developing, and executing reporting and analysis to support marketing planning, customer segmentation, and understanding customer behaviors. In this role you will create and maintain predictive forecasting models for sales targets, margin expectations, and goal development. Additionally, this role involves responsibilities such as extracting data, generating lists or leads using data mining techniques, and conducting statistical analysis for marketing campaigns. This role sits in the Houston, TX office and report to Director Analytics and Customer Engagement.

 

 

  • Develop targeted marketing campaign strategies, including data extraction and lead generation in data mining and statistical tools
  • Construct basic to mid-level statistical models using prospect databases to drive insights for lead generation
  • Maintain CRM system and prospect records for data accuracy and integrity, assisting with new account setup
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel, translating analytical data into actionable recommendations for revenue growth or expense reduction

 

 

What You’ll Bring

 

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or business intelligence were you studied data modeling, and data mining, Marketing degree or a related discipline where you gain knowledge in strategic marketing planning, pricing strategies, and data analytics 
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in data analytics, forecasting, performance reporting, campaign management, customer relationship management or marketing analysis
  • You have proven experience in predictive analytics and developing complex queries across multiple data sources
  • You are highly proficient in SQL programming and PowerBI Visualization tools
  • You are knowledgeable in understanding technical system documentation and interacting with IT resources
  • You will effectively work with cross-functional groups, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • You are proficient in written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

Compensation

Salary Range: $62,400 – $95,450 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Context:

The CTM team (Contract and Transaction Management) is overseeing the maintenance and evolution of the handful of Trading systems (Meteor, Sungard Zainet, Orchestrade, …) that allow GEMS to partake in all kinds of Market activities.

 

Within CTM, Release Management & IT Setup team is in charge of orchestrating releases for major applications (Orchestrade and Meteor) across various IS team transversally. This team is also in charge of providing support to GEMS IS teams on DevOps – CI/CD – Cloud activities – Orchestrade/Meteor non production environments. Orchestrade technical architecture setup is also managed by this team in coordination with all relevant satellite teams. The Team Lead of Release Management & IT Setup is responsible for overseeing and managing the activity that  :

  • Supports CTM’s release management process centered around Orchestrade & Meteor
  • Follows up the evolution of Orchestrade technical architecture with all relevant teams : Vendor, Infrastructure, GEMS IS Architects, GEMS IS development community, third-party vendors, etc.
  • Counsels the GEMS IS teams around their DevOps processes : CI/CD, Cloud based features, best practices around ALM process

Role:

Team Lead of Release Management & IT Setup is in charge of:

  • Lead the release management activity centered around Orchestrade and Meteor : coordinate teams, ensure testing phase is complete, deploy according to planning
  • Build the technical architecture of Orchestrade software in connection with :
    • Orchestrade Vendor
    • Enterprise architects
    • Infrastructure teams
    • Third-party development teams
    • External third party-teams (Microsoft, IBM, Commodities Markets, …)
  • Leading the DevOps Cloud activity : make sure the team is offering support and advice regarding best practices for CI/CD – ALM processes
  • Work closely with development teams/Vendors to ensure that solutions are designed with customer user experience, scale/performance and operability in mind
  • Propose the best level of service for all development/homologation environments under REL responsibility to project teams
  • Propose a consolidated & automated tooling stack to project teams (third-party software and in-house developments)
  • Ensure all solutions implemented by the team are secure and follow all group policies
  • Work closely with all IT teams within the organization and /or the business to understand their needs and ensure that implemented solutions match the required services and solutions.
  • Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure that deliveries, projects, solutions are aligned with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Follow the team’s budget and ensure that resources are being used effectively.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the led  team members and ensure that they are motivated and engaged.
