Broad Reach Power, a key player in this acceleration
Thanks to the acquisition of BRP last year, not only has ENGIE dramatically grown its presence in the country with 350 MW of new operational assets and 880 MW of assets under construction, but also acquired industry leading solutions, expertise and experience.
Batteries, a key role in flexibility
As a consequence of the development of renewable electrical energies, batteries have become increasingly necessary to bring reliability and resilience to the electric grid. With the awaited tripling of renewable capacity by 2030, battery storage needs will also increase. Indeed, the market could reach between 1,000 and 3,000 billion US dollars* in 2040, compared to 15 billion in 2023.
A henceforth highly favorable position
With 24 projects commissioned, or at very advanced stages of construction, the Group ranks among the leading battery-storage operators in the US, particularly in the state of Texas, and is in a highly favorable position for developing this activity which is critical to the success of the energy transition.
