What You Can Expect

As the Revenue Assurance Advisor will have the responsibility of supporting and managing the products Engie offers, applicable tax rules, regulatory compliance requirements, and troubleshooting and resolving concerns that affect billing accuracy. The incumbent will be expected to manage key functions within the Revenue Assurance department and work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, accurate, and proper recording of revenue, financial reporting, and data integrity.

 

Every day you will manage the accurate and timely completion of tasks that impact accounting, financial reporting, and data integrity. Additionally, you will monitor retail energy business revenue fluctuations, timely identify, and resolve unusual revenue fluctuations.

 

  • Set up monitoring controls to proactively detect revenue leakage and improve the revenue process
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various initiatives involving enhancements to the ledger system
  • Maintain open communication with the Accounting Department to ensure all revenue controls are met
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve billing accuracy
  • Research retail energy tax issues and/or questions and prepare written analysis and conclusions
  • Provide guidance based on research of retail energy tax laws and regulations
  • Work with the Corporate Accounting and Tax departments in gathering and providing information necessary for tax remittance and compliance processes
  • Participate in the federal, state, and local tax audit process including the preparation and review of responses to auditor questions
  • Strategically prioritize and balance workload based on changing business needs
  • Work to develop necessary processes and controls as the retail organization broadens its product.
  • Provide cross-functional support to peers and departments to develop satisfactory end-to-end delivery processes

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of energy industry experience
  • Strong, extensive knowledge of retail energy operations, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Working knowledge of retail energy business
  • Solid experience working with popular analytics and BI software tools like Tableau, PowerBI, and others for semantic-layer-based data discovery
  • Strong understanding of Accounting concepts and reconciliation techniques
  • Ability to use multiple data systems

Compensation

Salary Range: $84,000 – $128,800 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
